What's interesting is if Houston gets in on this and tells Minnesota "We'll absorb Brewer's contract and send you Jones, Nick Johnson, and our 1st Rounder for Rubio" Wouldn't that make Minnesota think about it? You're moving two players who, after getting Bledsoe, will not factor into your plans at all and in return you knock off $6 million next year by moving Brewer and you get back some young talent Pekovic Young/Jones/Bennett Wiggins/Levine Mo Williams/Nick Johnson Bledsoe That's not a bad way to start your year. We end up with another perimeter defender in Brewer and as far as Ricky's shooting goes, maybe that's why Jason Terry is brought on board.
Jones, Johnson, and a 1st Rounder for Rubio and Brewer? I don't see how that's overpaying considering we don't know how good Johnson can be nor do we know the exact value of that Pelicans pick.
Eh, I don't think the cap is gonna work on that one. 22.3 m - Howard 15.7m - Harden 8.1m - Ariza 6.17m - Rubio - QO or 9.2m if cap hold 4m - roster charges atleast 56m total So you might have 10 million to spend if the cap goes up. Could you get Milsap for that? Perhaps. Rubio Harden Ariza Milsap Howard
the rockets can't include terry in a trade package but can the t-wolves if they trade for him using their love tpe? eg, rockets trade terry for minny tpe minny immediately flips terry in a trade package for bledsoe. allowed in the cba?

The question was a comparison in regards to each player's ability to IMPROVE their shooting. Not a question of comparison between their shooting. Rubio has been a poor shooter through his first couple seasons. I say couple seasons because he's basically missed an entire season recovering from a knee injury. The question is can he improve? Isn't that what Terrence fans are hoping.....and banking on? I personally believe that Rubio's shooting will improve a whole lot more over time than I believe Terrence's shooting will improve. I believe Rubio will become an acceptable shooter. Just as others believe Terrence is going to become an acceptable shooter. To each his own.
Or subtract Ariza through trade and sign a max guy. Or simply use the threat of shipping and signing a guy outright to get a team to sign-and-trade the player to us and getting back a couple decent assets. Goran and Rubio have the best cap hold situation of the 4 PGs we are discussing going into 2015 free agency. The difference is only about $400,000 for Rubio over Goran's cap hold. And we would control Rubio in restricted free agency whereas Goran COULD walk on us.
