Gotcha. I think I have seen people reference it, but you never acknowledged so I wasn't sure if it was legit. And for the record, I am not for or against you guys. Not into the whole witch hunt ordeal that has been taking place. I for one, appreciate any tid bits dropped here, because as a fan it gives me something to think about and debate with buddies on the weekends. As a non-mod, I would say putting them on ignore is a bad idea. I understand your frustration because some of them come off as power-weilding types at times. I would be okay without the commentary of it being an us vs. them thing. It almost sounds like cops thinking it's citizens vs. cops rather than cops protecting citizen rights. All that being said, you don't ignore a friggin' mod because when they tell you you're out of line, it's time to get in line. Or you get banned. I've probably read about 60 of your 86 posts and I like what you have to say. So, if you get out of line over how we treat our insiders that have been posting on here since the beginning and now all of a sudden I don't see your basketball related posts anymore, that sucks for your fellow posters that enjoy reading your well thought out posts on basketball. Advice: because I like stuff you say generally, breath 4 or 5 times before you start typing. It will dull some of the sharp edges that are obviously there.
Judging by your last two posts, you have no room to talk. My statement was to all insiders, not just him. And if what you say is true, I think he has a right to be hostile considering the way he and the others have been treated around here.
Thanks for valuing us. Although I don't claim insider status. I simply have insider connections. He's hit my ignore list. I'm not interested in hostilities to or from anyone. If we can't have a reasonable conversation it's time for the ignore button after awhile.
You're right. haha, in all seriousness you are. It's a waste of time, but I was getting frustrated wading through his rants. I understand that sentiment, but that's their fault for putting a mod on ignore. It's THEIR stupid decision, it doesn't affect anyone else. So why should he be attacking people for making that decision? That's THEIR stupid decision that has nothing to do with him. Is that advice for me? What insiders have been run out of this thread? People should always question things. You don't have to all-out deny it, but don't take everything as fact, just because someone says he is in the know and to "trust him." Most of us aren't that stupid. Some of us go too far and refuse to believe anything, but again, that's their prerogative, most of us are rational.
It would be a cool feature to have a separate subforum for all the special posters (bballholic, LOFs, trolls etc) so they could share their extensive basketball knowledge and their exclusive "insider" info with each other separately from the general population.
My last 4-5 posts have been directed at him specifically. I have plenty of room to talk. I don't blanketly attack people because they refuse to believe me or someone elses information. He does. I attack him for attacking others and acting like a pretentious joke. Some of the attacks on him and others were uncalled for, but that doesn't excuse his behavior. It has gone way past sticking up for the forum and trying to make better posters. Now it's just him trying to constantly flaunt that he knows people.
Agreed. I understand we probably have some middle schoolers here, but this thread has exposed several of the other more reputable posters for having middle school-like tendencies. Quite sad, as I have enjoyed reading their takes, up until this thread.
