Enough said lol but the speculation will continue because Morey is hard to figure out. Some will call it a smoke screen. Morey is alway willing and dealing.
3 of the best defenders in the league, what is he smoking? Never seizes to amaze me the lengths Morey will go to, to defend the roster and people will eat that **** up like chocolate. Beverley is overrated, Ariza is solid and Howard is good but nothing to write home about. Asik had a better impact on our defense than Howard did..
How is Beverley overrated, when the opposition has said he's one of the best defenders and tough to go against? Same for Howard and Ariza. People talk **** about their offense, but they know they are some of the best defenders in the league. Also, saying Asik had a better impact doesn't make Morey's statement invalid.
Lock it up boys.....DMorey is done for this off season. The Rockets will be better than people think.
Morey said the roster we have now is the roster we will go with when camp opens. Yes, of course it will be because camp opens up on September 30th. The Bledsoe saga won't end until Oct 1st. So I would say that's accurate.
Still willing to give Plow the benefit of the doubt, however.... Any chance this one of Clutch's social experiments, ala the Lin bait and switch?
Well. We were close to being true contenders again. Can't do anything without depth. Can't name a single backup that I'm confident with. Are we just going to throw Nick Johnson into the frying pan as our sixth man on the perimeter?
He's tough but gambles a lot and actually hurt the team quite a bit when he tries to press when it's not needed. Well imo Howard's impact on defense should've been much higher based on what people say about him. Sorry but statistically as well as from we saw, he didn't make much difference on defense. I hope he will be better this year.
LOL this is Morey working showing his leverage with the teams he is working with...its to scare the other teams in to giving in.
And as of yet, unless Francisco Garcia shows up 10 years younger, he's our backup SG. The fact that we're forgetting about him just sums it all up. We are toast. Depth used to be a tiny problem, now its a glaring hole. Rockets will still make the playoffs, but we're either going to lose a lot of games because our starters won't be able to play 48 minutes, or we'll have a lot of injuries because KMac has them play 44minutes+ and wears them out. For the C spot and the PF spot I don't think we're losing much depth wise. Just throw in a defense/hustle player with little offensive talent or polish and you'll be fine. Hell the Heat won a championship starting Joel Anthony and later Chris Anderson. The problem lies in our perimeter play with our backups. Canaan, Johnson, Garcia? Couple that with Kevin McHale's beautiful system offense.
Not to be THAT guy, but I'd want someone to correct me if I typed this. I think you mean "wheeling and dealing". That said, I agree with you. He appears to be one of the most active GMs in the league, never stopping. It's both a good quality and a bad one. He continuously looks to upgrade the team, but at some point he needs to give the team time to form chemistry.
