Maybe I'll take a break later for refreshments. We just bought a new bed for our guest room and it demands to be checked out!
lol I read awhile back that Denver wants him sign an extension and he refused but he is still under a rookie contract. Doubt Morley would trade that many assets for him though. Harden and Faried play real well together.
Yes, "15-'16. The Suns last year was great, but more of an over achieving. This year...'14-'15 will more than likely see the Suns "drop back" a little. No good stretch 4 and the young guys are still a year away. Get two lotto picks...maybe even a 3rd #1 if the T-Wolves surprise. "Next Year" the Suns start a multi-season run....(ahem) Lead by Goran Dragic.
Of course there's no telling. If...IF!!! Bledsoe and his agent Paul do acquiesce to reason and sign something around the 4/48 as the Suns are offering...and Bledsoe keeps performing as he did last season, Bledsoe as asset will be back on track as planned. Like I wrote- He was brought in to build his value, sign him to a reasonable/trade friendly contract, and then move him in '15. ...what teams will/would offer the Suns at the deadline? Next Summer? Bledsoe's resume would be longer and better, and he'd be on a decent contract. The Suns would be looking to bolster their rather weak frontcourt of course. Make sense BB?
He ain't gonna let 'em do that to him. Re-sign at 4/48 and then get traded to basketball Siberia, some team and city he doesn't like? He'll just sign the QO if that's what they're gonna do. They're gonna have to up the anty or S&T him now.
Is that how GM Ainge won title in '08? Keep rationalizing scenarios...but a Dragic trade is extremely unlikely, especially to the Rockets. There's just no "there" there. If this "Celtic" way is so obvious, why haven't the Suns (McDonough) just locked up "the Suns future" Bledsoe for 5 years (as requested) by simply over paying a bit. Boom! Done! And then moving the "old guy" Dragic now! now! now! Before he's gone (deadline is February)??? The trade market for Dragic would be huge right now, but no talk at all that I've seen outside of this forum. Not even speculation...rumors? And the strange, vague line of thinking I've seen here at Clutch is "well, the Suns are going to lose Dragic anyway, so T.Jones and a couple a picks should do it." What? Where are you folks getting this logic? Go for Bledsoe...it might work out. He might be worth the risk when considering the "Dwight window".
I really could care less who the Rockets get. Worse comes to worst, these PGs become FA next year and the Rockets get one in FA. I don't really care whom. You Phoenix fans are going to get a serious dose of reality on how business-like your GM is next offseason.
The Celtics had a plan to get Garnett....that started in 2003 when Ainge and Morey (and McD but he was just a scout at that point) first joined the Celtics, it took them 5 years and Paul Pierce was 25 at the time it began. Plans like that, just by necessity need windows that large.
Years from now I hope we will be able to look at this thread and smile rather than as a case study for group think
