    Mmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmmmm, mmmmmmmmm.

Marcus Smart for the Pelies pick and perhaps Terrence? That would be a dream. Rookie contract. Great player. Dogged defender. Can make plays. Big enough to defend 1's and 2's. Rookie contract allows us to be players in free agency in 2015 and 2016.

That would be a dream at this point.

I seriously doubt that the Celtics will trade him.

Stay cool, just remember that he who controls the clock controls the narrative.

    Plowman,

Somebody is suggesting Marcus Smart. I can't see Boston possibly turning loose of him. In fact, I'm wondering if Smart combined with Rondo is their backcourt of the future. I actually think if Rondo stays that Boston will be contending for a playoff spot in the East and they are possible a big center away from being a serious contender. Can't see them turning loose of Smart.

if today passes without any news then it will just be a lesson not to trust sources regarding deadlines.

It really doesn't matter. These insiders really do themselves absolutely no good by saying "Big news in __ days!!!", because all they do is open themselves up to flaming. If they really hear anything, they should just say it and let it all play out.

If what Plowman/King Drew/etc. all have been saying ends up being true (I doubt it, but who knows?), then I don't care when it happens. As long as it happens before the Rockets opener, everybody will be thrilled.

My comment didn't need to be reasserted at the great Plowman. I merely have a bias for Smart since I am a fan.

Please, Espn was running with a rumour. I don't remember any reliable Insider saying anything (Stein,Woj ,Amick etc). Cyberx was also saying that We were willing to include Parsons as a last resort, nothing happened. I trust Cyberx but in this matter i believe Codman's info more.

The only thing that makes me think we could pass on adding a PG is how Morey has treated the position in the past. Alston to Brooks to Lowry to Dragic to Lin to Beverley........we've never really made a huge investment in any one point guard.

I wouldn't be surprised if our long term goal was a wing or a big, regardless of if we trade for a PG.

Top of my wish list now? Al Horford.

So what happens if we don't hear anything in 20 hrs? Can we start sacrificing a 99er every hour after, until we get our point guard? :p

Nothing will happen. A new counter clock will start and expire again and again, until something actually happens or Feb trade deadline, whichever comes first.
