I didn't make up that quote... and of course it's the interpretation that is at issue. If you read the next sentence I wrote you'd see that I discussed why his + number was so good - he was playing with Kevin Love. That's why the raw + number isn't really meaningful if you're playing with better players. I would bet Matt Maloney had an excellent + number when he was playing with Hakeem, Barkley, and Clyde Drexler. That didn't make him a great point guard.
Every player in the NBA is an asset. Any player in the NBA can always be traded for another top player. It's illogical to think that Morey is the only GM in the league to be perceived as a guy that would trade role players to improve a team. Put it to rest.
In 2006 I said J.J. Redick would have a top 10 career of all the players in the 2006 draft. I stuck with that prediction even after he got hurt and sucked the first several seasons. Yes, I do stick with players that I know can ball. Rubio will have a great, great career.
I know we all want an upgrade at PG, as do I. It would be difficult however to give up Nick Johnson, Capela, Papa before even trying them out. I wouldn't mind giving up Tjones and or Dmo plus pick and Gee but I think we should try and hang on to our young talent.

I know but what I'm saying is why within 10 days? Is Morey working in some kind of time frame of 10 days? And even if he was, who is to say whatever they may be working on doesn't fall through? Meaning, even if there was a 10 day time frame, if it fell through then we wouldn't hear anything. So I just don't see how a time frame of 10 days makes any sense.
My first post but been a Rockets fan since 1988...Anyways has Plowman given anymore news? We still waiting out the 10 day period?
