So Bledsoe's camp realizes DM's offer is the best deal, so maybe we get him signed to a 2 year $28-30M deal, with 1-2 years of team options. We then trade KP, expirings and a future 1st and Voila we have our PG.

 

What astonishes me about Rubio is that he can't finish at the rim. It's not like he's the size of Calvin Murphy (who could shoot, defend, finish at the rim, and kick your ass while being 5'9" tall, but I digress). Rubio has good size for a point guard. What gives?

I understood the fascination for Rondo, Bledsoe and Dragic. BUT RUBIO? Sheesh. If Morey gets Rubio, he needs to be fired!

 

Just depends on the cost. For what Minny is asking.....no. But if we can keep TJones and a few other assets to set us up for an upgrade at PF....sure.

Put it this way, if we can get Rubio for DMo and the NOP 1st, and then use several other assets and TJones to get Millsap at the trade deadline...

The Mavs have max cap room to throw around next year. I've heard that Cuban believes Rubio is a franchise player and will improve under their coaching and development.

If the Rockets do throw those assets at Minny. Are they willing to give Rubio the max next year? It's been publicized his people want the max.

If Morey plays hardball. Will Cuban jump in with another Parsons styled contract?

 

I think it's fair to guess they want a lot, although Plowman probably heard that specifically, but after what they got for Love, they're going to play hardball with Rubio.
