i'm really curious how Morey is addressing the coaching situation...he gonna fire KMac or hire a lead assistant to be his possible replacement before training camp?

If Les thinks this, they he is dumber than I thought. Could it possibly be Harden growing up after a very disappointing first round loss against a team we should have beat. He's been much more vocal since the playoffs. Harden is going to take the next step. He's 25 years old. Jordan and Dream didn't get it until their late twenties.

That's a very interesting point. Bodes well for the Rockets.

Don't really care too much about McHale. At worst this is his last year anyway. Much more important is that Harden is blossoming in front of us. If he takes that next step to become a superstar, I might almost call the Portland series a blessing in disguise.

I agree, Harden could just be maturing/giving a crap. I'm all for a McHale replacement but Harden might have got his act together as well.

Drew talked about stuff happening imminently at the time he wrote that....

that someone could speculate or guess that the Rockets would be interested in acquiring a PG after striking out on Bosh and others is not exactly indicative of heavy sourcing or the Dionne Warwick Psychic Network. The Rockets name gets thrown about with virtually every player available. It should come as no surprise to you that if Bledsoe is available, the Rockets will be interested. Of course that doesn't mean he's coming to Houston...and even if he is, it doesn't mean it's happening "by the end of the weekend."

I'm not suggesting that Drew didn't have some information from someone...but his info was about something happening right away with Dragic. That's not what happened. That's nothing personal against Drew...it's just his info wasn't good on that. It happens.

Actually, he said Hou wanted Bledsoe and would "take" or settle for Dragic more than once.

It's pretty obvious he heard from someone that we were trying to acquire one of them. This while many naysayers and extremely negative posters took their shots, going on about how there's no way and explaining why Phoenix wouldn't trade either.

Now, what we don't know is exactly how these Bledsoe negotiations going south has affected all this. Was it assumed they'd have come to an agreement by now and then move Dragic? That seems most likely to me.

Or, was it part of the plan all along - if we can't agree with Bledsoe, we're open to do discussing a trade for him as well?

Who knows, but while the kid was (admittedly) dumb for giving a date when he did, it's obvious to me he occasionally hears things from Berman. He could just go about sharing it in a different way, more like Plowman did.

BEST NEWS EVER TO WAKE UP TO that:

The clueless, incompetent joke of a coach and embarassment to Rockets McHale is in the hot seat! LOVE THIS! No way that a championship aspiring team like the Rockets should have this moron and disgrace to the Rockets as head coach. He is possibly the worst coach in the NBA and the sooner he goes, the better.

I have always maintained that Harden is a capable two way player, just that McHale lacks the cojones to hold anyone accountable, that is just one of the flaws amongst a long list of flaws in McHale's coaching or alack thereof

If I was given one of two options: Get another top player but retain McHale or stay PAT and dump McHale, I am going for the latter.

McHale with 5 all stars is not going to get you anywhere. Might as well dump his sorry arse and move forward.

And it was "out of leftfield", when the only report of Phoenix moving a PG was that Indiana inquired about availability of Dragic and were rebuffed.

Many were complaining that "no legitimate source" has even discussed Phoenix being open to moving one of their PG's, and went on about why they would want to keep them and attempt to win with them (which still could happen), while ignoring others who posted about the many obvious reasons why they COULD BE open to moving one of them.

Now Cyber says it's a possibility and everyone "believes" (and for good reason as he's proven). Worse, there will be some that will say discussions only are happening NOW due to the Bledsoe negotiations, regardless of the info Plowman, possibly B'holic and (yes) Drew, shared with us.

If you fail to acknowledge Plow and even Drew had knowledge of discussions going on a month ago, as Bernie Mac said, I'm sorry for ya.

He is trash. I am sorry you're happy being stuck with a pathetic coach.

Some of us have bigger aspirations for this Rockets team and don't want to see us lose yet another year thanks to piss poor coaching.

For the record Cyberx said that Morey is working on Bledsoe, not that Phoenix is open to trading Bledsoe. And that he doesn't consider anything close.

People always say "where there's smoke, there's fire" but at this point in time it seems like its neither smoke or fire, but Morey trying to create sparks. Hope I'm wrong.

So, to summarize (and I hope fairly):

1 - - DM the GM wants Bledsoe, but is not "all-in". Willing to give max for two years or discounted deal for four.

2 - - DM the GM is jonesing for Faried. Nugs?

3 - - KMc is on the hot seat from USAMNT feedback.

If I have all that correct, then:

1 - - how about this compromise: 2 year max with 3rd year option triggered by certain reachables (70 games/ASG/All NBA 1/2/3 team; some combination of), Rox otherwise holding option. 4th year similarly.

2 - - What I have understood is Nugs want Faried on an Ibaka contract; The Manimal wants Love $$$. What I would guess is they'd want McGee attached to any deal (Knixies anyone?). If Nugs're dealin', I'm listenin'.

3 - - So, what of that missing replacement for Sampson (and Cooper)?

I'm thinking the conversation has to start with the Pelicans' pick to even get Phoenix interested in discussing a S&T for Bledsoe.

I think it's been reported Phoenix is exploring trades with Bledsoe, so I'd say they're "open".

I love Cyber - supported him all the way back to the 2nd Dwightmare....and Asik not being matched by Chicago.

But that doesn't mean he gets EVERY inside scoop. He's finally been able to confirm discussions.

For the record, I'm rollin with Plowman. Doesn't mean the two are disagreeing. Simply means they don't have exact same source or info. Plow is way too confident. Until he says differently, I'm believing there's an excellent chance we end up with one of them.

Why is this only happening now? It's been known that Bledsoe and the Suns have not been on the same page for awhile. I would have thought that Rockets contacted Bledsoe's camp 4-5 weeks ago. hmmm

Regarding the Coach McHale info from Cyberx, I was a bit surprised about Harden's comments from the "Best Player Alive" article regarding the team USA coaching staff.

Not that what he said is wrong by any means, just interesting that he is publicly acknowledging it.
