Doesn't that mean the Rockets are giving 5 points to the Lakers and therefore are the favorites? Bettors certainly aren't sleeping on them or they know something about a potential roster improvement for the Rockets.
That's a trade I've flirted with in the past. Bass is a tremendous and versatile defender at the 4. He's also an ELITE mid-range shooter. The problem? He does not have 3 point range....at all. He took all of 6 3-pointers last year. So if run with a starting lineup of Rondo/Harden/Ariza/Bass/Howard, you've only got 2 3-point shooters out there (Harden and Ariza), which could potentially hurt Harden and Dwights effectiveness.
Cyberx, were you ever able to confirm if chandler's release was a wink-wink deal with Fegan to get Howard here? Have you ever heard of something like that happening? Common sense would say there's no way an agent can influence a FA like Dwight in that way, but would an agent try to convince him, if he's on the fence? What's Fegan's reputation like in inner circles? As for Plowman's news...i guess the thread will either die or push 500 pages in 10 days. Now, we wait.
Means nothing. They also have the Hornets at -8.5 vs. the Magic and the Thunder as underdogs at +1.5 against the Blazers.
This and then some. I know Plowman is a good dude and on the level. Will a trade go down? Hell I don't know, but I absolutely believe him. Like I said before, he actually called something before cyberx to me in a personal email. He didn't share it with the board, so I chose not to. To be honest, I'm pulling for Plowman more than I am the actual player coming to the Rockets at this point(although I badly want this for the Rockets). I'm so tired of the hate and negativity here. Clutch and company work their proverbial arses off to give us this great forum and some sadly take that for granted.
Against the Clippers, yes, but not against the Lakers. He always plays well against them, though it probably helps having Jodie Meeks on you.
This is true. I've only seen one Lakers fan anywhere criticize Kobe's contract. They think that he's better than Harden and see Harden more of a Mitch Richmond type than an elite player on the rise.
Well to be fair, Kobe at his peak was on a completely different planet from Harden in terms of super stardom. He was getting 50 points like nothing. So compared to that, Harden is more Mitch Richmond than Michael Jordan.
Let's hope he is right. He's been very consistent: 1) We are going after a PG - One of Rubio, Rondo, Dragic or Bledsoe 2) It is likely one of the PHX guards. 3) It will cost less than we think 4) It will happen before the season starts 5) We should hear something within the next 7-10 days He has not been ambigous, and until now did not put himself on a deadline.
Whoa there, PM. Are you actually as old as I? That's the way we codgers think and don't forget what (was it Christopher Moore wrote?) about getting rid of all us ancients.
Some people started typing it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue typing it forever just because...
