That lines up well with the thread i posted about using the Love-Wiggins trade annoucement (which accured 2-3 weeks in advance of when the trade could actually be completed) as a baseline for a Rockets-Rondo/Dragic/Bledsoe/etc. trade. I would say, however, that the Rockets situation is a little different. The reason Love-Wiggins could be annouced so far in advance was because no other team could come close to Cleveland's offer. That won't be true for Dragic/Bledsoe/Rondo, as the teams with assets competeing for them (though there are likely only a few) will have offers that are closer to one another than Cleveland vs. the field. This means that there is a risk that another team comes in with a bigger offer after there is an annoucement, and thus there won't be an official annoucement until the trade can be consummated (or within a few days). The most I would expect to hear within the next week is that there are discussions, but the Rockets hate leaks unless it's just hours (or minutes) before the actual trade. So, if we actually do hear something "soon", I'd expect the tweet to look something like this: "The Rockets have had discussions with Boston and Phoenix re: Rondo, Dragic and Bledsoe, but no deal is imminent."
This is the first real rumor he's been throwing out there, so I guess we'll find out about his credibility or not.
