Tochiee gaining the popularity one blah blah at a time. Don't worry, that's how I read your threads as well.
I'm a long time reader, I used to come on this site to read articles and threads that were actually intellectually written but as of late it's all been bull****. Maybe cuz it's the offseason, but I never seen so much nonsense ima while. I mean, one of the biggest threads in clutchfans history is about random ****. Idk how this thread isn't shutdown or at least put on hold till some legit news is heard or something.. What's a shame
There's nothing going on. It's a long offseason. This is generally the sort of crap thread you can expect.
Clutchfans got spoiled by Morey. After two unbelievable offseasons --- acquiring Harden and Howard back to back, this one is lame in comparison. Three in a row would have been great, but it happens.
This thread has become an unsorted discussion thread and I think that's kind of cool. I mean if you think about it, thats how people really talk. You start by talking about a rumor, then it morphs into a different thing, then a different thing. Then a random debate, then back to the rumor. Maybe I'm over thinking it but it just seems natural. Like how I talk about the rockets with my boys.
There are a lot more facets to distributing odds of future major injury of an NBA team than just past injury history of one player. What's even more silly here is you're talking about Eric Gordon. Go look at his body of work in New Orleans. A very strong case could be made that he's been a net negative for them. So...I could make a case that Gordon getting injured actually makes New Orleans better. I won't do that because it is pointless. And it defers from the point that you apparently don't believe. That being that there is no known formula or predictive model for determining each team's odds of suffering major injury in the upcoming season. People that just look at injury history of the players on the roster and make a decision that the team with the most previous injury history is the team that has the highest odds of suffering major injury in the upcoming season are just guessing. They do not know that. I could look at 2 rosters of players, look at their ages and number of minutes played in the NBA and say the older team that has played the most minutes has the greater chance for injury in the upcoming season. And that's a true statement in a vacuum. (Think about it. Before the Achilles injury, Kobe had never suffered a major injury. But the odds kept getting greater as he aged and the NBA minutes piled up. Now, he's considered "injury prone". But it wasn't until those minutes piled up and he actually suffered an injury that he became "injury prone".) Just as true as saying that the team with the highest injury history has the greatest chance for injury in the upcoming season...with no other factors considered. And if I were to make that statement there would be posters like you that would come back at me and say.....No, you're not considering previous injury history, you're being one-sided, yack, yack, yack. And there would be some posters that would say my criteria is totally off to begin with simply because they have the mob mentality but have no idea what the issue is. Nobody really knows the odds of major injury to one team versus another team in the upcoming season. Because there hasn't been an analysis of it done using 30 years of history and attempting to quantify and weigh all the factors. There may be some internal formulas or predictive models that the NBA teams have that they use privately. But unless you've seen those models and formulas and are using those to calculate odds of major future injury to a team...you're just guessing. People that assume odds based on just one factor (past injury history) are simply guessing at the odds.
There are not any actual news. If anything important happens, someone will create a new thread anyway.
If you lost you could always welsh on the bet, change your moniker and hope no one notices, right jopatmac?
Mr PM, a question please: Is Zoran 'attached' to Goran (as part of the agreement to extend)? Thanks...x...
How many more weeks or months till we acquire Dragic again? Or nah? #ininsiderswetrust? #talksbrokedownexcuse
Zoran and Goran...aha...don't think so....maybe later. As to when ...Again, it's the Bledsoe negotiations that are holding up our next move.
