The good news is that they aren't in the front office! Too many point guards on that team. Thomas, is there for now. Either sign and trade Bledsoe, trade Dragic or play way too small of a lineup for too extended of a period.
He said he works for the organization. I believe he tried to keep it under wraps, but decided not to. Roe has said he's working the phones, so he's in the know, at what capacity, we don't know. I for one believe him. It really does seem as though Bosh was coming to Houston. When Miami came in with the late push, the money and not having to move his family played a big part in it.
NOP pick, other draft picks, Llull and the other international guys, Terrence Jones, etc. Dragic is VERY GOOD, but his contract situation may reduce his long-term value to Phoenix and what teams would pay for him. He has a player option (remember when this was debated?) at the end of the upcoming season. This means that he is a year away from hitting unrestricted free agency. He is going to get paid big time-- deservedly so. More important, he can leave PHX or whatever team that he gets traded to basically on a whim and there will be a lot of teams competing for his services. Remember when CHI traded Luol Deng (an upcoming FA) for a future 1st round pick? Goran likely has more value than that, but how much more really?
How do you know this? Wade even lied about not knowing LeBron's decision, only to reveal that he did indeed knew way before the actual decision. Please, LeBron's agent and Cleveland has been in talks for ages. To say the Cavs made deals with no commitment is ludicrous.
We totally have the assets to trade for a player like Dragic. NOP 1st, some of the best Euros around, and a nice TPE.
We had a deal with Bosh in the bag. He said he liked the direction of the team and his role (not being the banger inside). The extra year was not the deciding factor to him. Although he liked being in Miami, he wanted to continue winning and felt his best chance at winning. We took that at face value and quickly moved Lin. My only assumption after that is that the wife trumped the call. Only explanation I have. Trust me or don't, but please don't trash me. I am trying to be helpful as much as I can without crossing lines.
Don't worry - insider or no insider, I value your information, and besides the Bosh situation you've been on target. Anything else you'd like to share?
I think Dwight wants him back. I think Parsons will be back. If we do one move before Parsons, then he is credible in my book. If this move is for Dragic, this offseason will be a complete winner.
To add, I'm wondering if the Rockets are looking at S&T or straight up signing for Ariza? And if it's a S&T, meaning they can retain their MLE, are they no longer pressured by the Sunday deadline since Parsons' contract will no longer be an issue cap wise regardless of whether we match or not?
Look, I'm enjoying your information. Do keep going, if nothing else it's entertaining and better than wallowing in self-pity.
