he shifts focus - he doesn't back track. I saw him mildly acquiesce to me on the T-Rob trade, but he never out right said he was wrong. Only wrong in that someone was able to take him off our hands without sending back a contract.
It sound like those people I've encountered in sports groups on FB that maintained that Asik had no value and Lin was unable to be traded. Instead of eating crow, they jumped on Morey missing out on Bosh and then consequently letting Parsons walk.
I just meant we got him for a steal the first time. I've been a firm believer all along that Les botched the first go, I saw no reason why Morey would want Lin.
I agree there are better coaches than McHale in the NBA (even he would admit that), but your criticism seems a tad bit overboard IMHO. That being said, do y'all think part of Morey's plan was to bring McHale in as an attractive piece for Love?
At this rate, he may not have a chance to backpedal From his Parsons/Jenner Thread: '99ers are on it. #SUMMERCLEANING
That exactly describes Phil Jackson. Yet, he has 13 c'ships. His assistants who took care of the "X & O"s have done nothing as HCs in the NBA themselves. Why? It's all about the talent on the floor.
While I do find this hilarious, please refrain from #. 1. This is not twitter... 2. 99's might not understand poundsign summer cleaning. #seewhatididthere
Does Dragic have to agree to a trade before it can be completed? Are the Rockets one of the few teams that can absorb his salary without sending any back? Why does your source feel confident about him coming back to Houston, Plowman?
In theory (it's a theory until I see the trade made!) we can. We have the trade exception from the Asik deal. Dragic's salary fits inside it.
Im not Plowman but i'd like to comment on this. Dragic does not have to agree to a trade to be traded. Thing is, he is expiring and can walk next off season. Hypothetically, lets say teams like the Jazz and Bucks are interested in Dragic. They can certainly offer better assets then we can in trades. Thing is, Dragic most likely wouldn't want to play for such bad teams and would walk next off season to sign with a better team. Therefore, teams like the Bucks and Jazz would no longer be in play or interested in Dragic. Houston can offer some nice assets and not really have to worry about Dragic walking.
Let's say, just for arguments sake, that we are able to add Dragic, Ilyasova, and Marion to this team before the beginning of next season. In the process, we send out the NOP 1st, TJones, DMo, and Canaan. Dragic / Beverley Harden / Daniels Ariza / Marion Ilyasova / Adrien Howard / Dorsey How would everyone feel about that?
no He walked once and will walk away again. Can't trust he won't walk so ridiculous to send out assets for a bad contract. Morey will only go after assets until he will lock down the team to a cap. He won't lock the **** until he has a Chip quality team. Just getting Dragic will not make us a champion. A quality big man with defense will make this team great.
Basically Ariza, Ilyasova, Dragic, Marion, Capela, Dorsey, Smith, Adrian, Johnson vs Parsons, Asik, Lin, Jones, Motiejunas, Hamilton, Garcia, Casspi, Canaan It's not a HUGE upgrade, but it's an improved and more balanced roster in my opinion.
