great that you are so optimistic about the rockets but to say teams like the clips have no chance is far from the truth. rockets are contenders yes but to act like they are so far above the rest is false. they are right there in the mix with the small list of elite teams who have a realistic chance of winning a title.

Well thats the thing. The Rockets won't have a healthy and rested team with the lack of bench depth. Teams like the Spurs and Warriors can manage minutes and rest players during the season and not miss a beat. The Rockets can't afford that luxury so by the end of the season you start seeing the wear and tear on players bodies. It's up to Morey to build a well rounded bench to give the starters some help.

When I say fringe contenders this is what I mean:

    Favorites
    Warriors
    Cavaliers
    Spurs

    Fringe Contenders
    OKC
    Clippers
    Rockets

I don't consider that an insult to the Rockets personally, but the use of the word fringe is probably not appropriate on my part. Cut below the top maybe?

I just don't see how you jump to the conclusion that the Clippers would be better than the Rockets when they couldn't even beat the Rockets when they were missing 2 starters?

As to the Spurs, how do you not see them as hanging by a thread? Duncan is 39 and if he gets hurt or plays poorly, they are sunk. I know he's had an amazing run and defied the odds in the past, but at some point it's going to collapse just as it has for literally every player who has ever played the game.

I am not even tripping. We will get that PG that we need. OKC SA LAC? I fear none of them. I believe we are still better than those teams.

People have been saying that for 5 years...The Spurs, Cavs and Warriors are in a class of their own.

Boston has some unguaranteed pgs they should waive. Also Mil will likely waive Guitierez today.

The fact that people have been saying it for so long is more evidence that it is likely to happen because it's something that is inevitable. It's like someone playing Russian roulette thinking that because they have successfully pulled the trigger 5 times means that they can easily pull the trigger one more time and be safe. It's just not logical.

It sounds like the Rockets lost DeAndre Jordan, not that team north.

    FREE AGENT SIGNINGS

    TRADES

Daryl said any big moves/names was a long shot. No big moves have happened. [Some are still upset.]

Daryl said he would re-sign his own free agents. He has, with the exception of Smith, Terry & McDaniels. [Some are still upset. Apparently needs to get out there, sign these other 3 guys to whatever it takes, then the nerves will calm. Ha NOPE! Who am I kidding?]

Yes, they still need another PG/ball-handler and preferably some shooters.

Have you jumped back on the team More-E bandwagon?

I'd include OKC in tier 2, but besides that, I agree with this completely

What about Atlanta? I honestly think we've taken a step down from last year. Morey better have something in the works.

How so? The team is essentially the same.
