I think the thinking with Monte is despite what he brings offensively, he's a drag on the locker room - guys don't enjoy playing on his teams. I think Dallas sending Monte out and Rondo too is a way of them cleaning house a bit. In the irony of ironies, Cuban(who criticized Morey of this) built a team with no chemistry. Addition by subtraction and then some more addition I guess. Parsons seems to be a fun guy, Mathews is generally a popular guy in the locker room, and DJ likes to have fun too. Assuming Parsons and Mathews can come back from major injuries, this could be an okay team although I agree they are one injury away from being out of the playoffs. I don't know how they would do it(maybe trading Hibbert for Monte and then Hibbert for Lawson), but I think Ty Lawson might not be a bad fit here. Parsons and Matthews are good but not great shot creators. Lawson could fill that role nicely.
I'm no insider and I'm not friendly with Blake so this was a complete outsider conversation but it really didn't seem like he wanted him to return (PURE SPECULATION FROM BRIEF CONVO). Lots of people report that they were very close when they first entered the league but have grown apart. Don't know if true or not.
Blake Griffin contract comes up in 2 years. Apparently, he and CP3 don't get along very well. Jordan didn't want to be left high and dry in Clipperland So he bolted.
Danny Fegan going to work. Where will Fegan take Dwight take next year?

Interesting to see how much of an influence agent Dan Fegan had on this decision. I don't think LMA is foolish enough to think he will ever be more popular than Harden in Houston. True James wouldn't mind deferring to LMA, but LMA is looking to be perceived by outsiders as the man - not told my team staff/teammates. The man gets the ball on key possessions and that's always going to be Harden no matter how much he defers.
I think this is another step in that direction. No way Griffin wants to leave LA, but the slower, older, more defensive minded CP3 and Doc make the Clips the more chance this has of happening
Blake Griffin would be a stud at PF for Houston. So would Chris Paul. I'm just saying - one or maybe even both of those guys will be up on the block in the next year or two. Either they trade CP3 to make Blake happy or they trade Blake because they feel like he is going to walk in 2 years but it's going down because that team just got a lot worse. Hibbert isn't saving that trainwreck.
