Outside of the Spurs there really is only one team that has two legit all stars and Houston is that team, Dallas and the Suns don't have that. Also you can't sleep on the fact that the rockets went to the WCF and that carries a lot of weight. It usually takes 3 all star caliber players to win a championship. You would think this is still between the Spurs and the Rockets as to who lands LMA.
I don't understand. Like, most of our guys are under contract. Two of them, we can't do anything w/ until the 9th. That leaves Josh and Corey, both of whom appear to be listening to teams prepared to give them more than Morey might want to spend. Really nobody is engaging in trades right now because so many teams are waiting on LMA. It's frustrating, yes. But like... what else can you do?
Not sure why you chose to quote me, when my post had nothing do with LMA. But... okay. ETA: I don't think he's coming here, tho.
which they don't. So now you're talking about lining up multiple teams for deals and dishing out second rounders to get teams to swallow up salaries.
The Knicks can't offer him more than the Rockets. Who else out there is able and willing to? The Lakers and Kings? Both teams are worse than us and reside in a state with higher taxes. Not saying he won't bolt, but he has limited options.
PG: ? SG: Harden SF: Durant PF: Aldridge C: Howard Imagine if we had this lineup next year, who would be the perfect PG to run the team? Lowry, Lawson, Rubio, Rondo?
Okay, sure. I'm just saying the only reason we haven't made any moves is because we are maintaining the option of going below the cap.
Morey should consider asking Phil to sign and trade Bev AND Brewer to the Knicks for Carmelo... packaging them with our assets. I mean if he had the balls to ask Cuban for Dirk..
His options may be limited, but the only thing that matters at this point is that he's still considering them, despite our having met with him as soon as FA began.

Yeah he wants to be alpha......move on because that's not happening here. He doesn't have the gene for it anyways.
