Cuban with another overpay IMO. Crazy market even a dude coming off the worst possible injury is getting broke off.
when is wes supposed to even be back? thought he popped his achilles pretty late into the regular season...
Going to be fun to hear everyone slurp all over Dallas and call them contenders. Also, how is LMA still considering Dallas according to recent reports if they are set on Jordan and Wes?
Why would a gimpy parsons and matthews be appealing to Jordan? Devin Harris at pg? Im not buying that they could land Aldridge. Even if Matthews takes less (13 million a yr) and Dallas clears up to 39 million, that would leave 26 mil for Jordan and Aldridge. No way they take that big of a paycut.
But according to a person with knowledge of Aldridge's situation, it was - other than a nice dinner - much ado about nothing in terms of the lay of this land. Entering Friday, the LaMarcus leaderboard is believed to still have the San Antonio Spurs up top, with the Phoenix Suns second and the Dallas Mavericks a darkhorse of sorts from there. The Lakers appear to have gained no ground, nor did teams like the Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors who previously met with him. And barring an unexpected turn, it appears the Heat's visit hardly put them onto the short list either. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...free-agency-spurs-heat-blazers-suns/29658653/
If LMA goes to Dallas, it would suck, but would make two other teams significantly weaker as a result. Plus, I think Rockets could still contend.
I don't think anyone wants to play with Dwight. That's all I can read into from the situation over the last couple years.
Exactly what big names have we whiffed on since Dwight came? Lebron, who we had no shot with in the first place? Melo and Bosh, both of whom opted to stay with their original teams for way more $$? Seems weird to blame Dwight, unless you think he's the reason Llull didn't come over.
We should be more like the Mavericks. If only we had beaten out Cuban for Rondo. Imagine what kind of a season we could've had. Just like imagine Wes Mathews coming off this injury. You just know the outcome can only be positive.
Agreed. And while we're at it, we should let all of our free-agents walk and sign Kim Jong Un and Dennis Rodman, the fantastic duo that we all know and love.
Wow. Well. The mavs will be horrible. Maybe the kings in their incompetence saved themselves from paying an injured done for man big cash and then again having to pay 10/1sts to clear capspace in typical kingsfashion. Though i cheer for wes to come back for this. Because its basically the most serious bball related injury a player can get . Maybe kings should just absorb david lee qnd call it a day.
Do you really not understand how a team with a bunch of cap space because half its roster just walked can be more aggressive than one with most of its guys either under contract or waiting to be matched/re-signed?
