To stay up or to go to sleep?

Hopefully we get some news in morning. Even if it's just "The Houston Rockets are out of the running for Lamarcus."

    Just want clarity haha.

I can't tell if it's good that we're not being mentioned or if it's bad.

There is no question Morey and Hinkie have that type of relationship. Hinkie understands that the Rockets and Morey are on the edge of greatness and will assist when he can. But Hinkie does not come cheap.

If we didn't unload Royce White, we weren't going to be able to offer Dwight a max contract. Even though its only a couple million dollars, that difference might have been the difference between Dwight choosing us or another team with max money. But to unload White, we gave up one of our best prospects who was willing to come to the NBA soon. (Cough Llull cough)

Even though we probably got the highest potential player in the McDaniels' trade, Canaan was definitely more polished. Also Canaan is on contract for another season while we have to worry about a team possibly overpaying McDaniels' this season. It hurts even more when you realize that Canaan would have probably been our starting point guard when Bev got hurt. Essentially we gave up our playoffs starting point guard for less than 30 minutes of a player who might not even be here next year.

If Philly becomes our "drop box" this season to help us get LMA, it can be assured we will be losing some key players/assets to Hinkie, someway or another. Maybe it will cost us Dmo or Harrell, etc.

I'm doubtful LA comes to Houston but if he had crossed us out the media would have reported it like they did with the Lakers and Knicks.

It was relatively quiet, but Toronto was reported as axed last night as well.

Harris took 14 shots to get his 17 ppg....

Idk, i'm just not sold on the idea, per and per 36 doesn't really do much for me. Not saying your wrong or that he will be a bust, but i'm just not sold on all of it, enough to where i'd be comfortable with the Rox giving him a huge contract.

Just seems like if we were out already Morey would be making moves. I think we are still in it. Hoping at least.

After giving the Lakers a 2nd chance and had a chance to reflect what everyone had to say, LaMarcus takes out an article in the Players Tribune and says he's coming back to Portland. /s

Really not much he can do since Bev/KJ can't sign offer sheets yet and Corey is allegedly still exploring his options... though I do think it's weird we haven't heard a peep about Josh. Like, from any team.

As others have said though, I think teams will start to deal a little more once LMA/DJ go off the board.

Smith is my biggest concern this offseason. After the way his career has bounced back with the Rockets teams that have struck out with their first pick are going to be offering that same ridiculous deal to him. Sacramento comes to mind but my main concern is Cuban. He wanted Smith last year and didn't get him and if he mises out on Jordan and LMA I am fairly certain he is gonna throw a huge offer at Smith. I hate Cuban!

I think LMA is a long shot for sure. There is that slightest little glimmer of hope feeling that I'm hanging on to, but I won't be too terribly disappointed if it doesn't happen. I just wonder why I haven't heard a peep about Brewer or Smith or Terry. Unless I missed it. Other players who I would consider on the same/simliar tier as those guys are getting PAID right now. Why aren't Brewer & Smoove being mentioned? Unless they have somsthing in place contingent on LMA. ???

Im thinking Morey has moves in play with the teams that have a shot at LA, particularly Pheonix..

Would love Bledsoe.. we would be able to get him and keep Ariza right??

Out of all the FA talk, the only Rocket that has been seriously mentioned was Beverly. I think Brewer and Smith know what they can get with the Rockets, which is a shot at a ring and some good cash. Of course the Rockets also drafted 2 kids that play each of their positions so they could also be like, it was a magical run guys, thanks for game 6, but we are moving on.

Is it 100% certain that Matthews has signed yet? I have a friend who says espn is reporting it as if its just a matter of time.

They are not letting Dwight's booty buddy Josh Smith go anywhere.
