Why aren't teams like the Heat and Lakers trying to rebuild? Aldridge doesn't get them closer to a championship, he just gets them further away from good lottery positioning.
Neither Bosh or LMA were/are adamant about not playing center. A big selling point for Houston for Bosh/LMA was that we had Dwight Howard to guard the centers. I guess Bosh/LMA prefer centers like Chris Anderson, Tyson Chandler or Robin Lopez than Dwight freaking Howard..
Jared Zwerling @JaredZwerling 2m2 minutes ago Source familiar w/ LaMarcus Aldridge's situation says currently Spurs & Suns are front-runners. Dallas 3rd. Lakers out. Heat not happening.
I figure they'd want to give up Deng and whiteside/Winslow...or maybe even all three... LMA Bosh Wade Dragic That's a hell of a core in the east
This guy also said this.

Source: Memphis and Mo Williams are closing in on a deal. Three or four years. Not done yet.
— Jared Zwerling (@JaredZwerling) July 1, 2015

There is no reason for LMA to say we are front runners because we would then have to give up more assets in potential S&T deals... My order 1) SA 2) HOU and noone else other than the suns comes close, thats what makes the most sense.. From a future and basketball sense we are clear favorites because we have a C to keep him at PF and a SG locked up who happens to be top 5 player in the NBA
sounds more and more like LMA is only taking seriously teams with space, or quick move away from it...Houston probably impressed him, but probably still needed time to find a path to clear space or do a S&T. Now that Portland has some forwards, they don't need TJ. Morey may need to do a 3 way deal to get portland what they want.
Zwerling had the Lakers listed as a "frontrunner" a day after their dreadful first meeting with Aldridge, so I have questions as to how plugged in he is on this.

Source close to LaMarcus Aldridge's situation said he will not be returning to Portland. Good point about the Heat. I keep forgetting the Eastern Conference is a landfill where anyone can be crowned king.
well, he wasnt exactly wrong...they were all front runners relative to the rest of the league. His mistake was acting like it was breaking news, when it was just common sense.

At this point Morey needs to move away from LMA. It's pretty clear he doesn't want to come here. Quit wasting time
