I wouldn't mind LMA heading east. But I dont see how Miami gives him a better chance to win than any other place... Or the center that can bang inside that he is supposedly looking for.
How many times can you eat in one day? Lol The reasoning for the seconomy meeting with the Spurs shows me that there are some factual tweets out there.
If I am Portland, Whiteside isn't enough for me to consider that deal. The conversation should start with Justise Winslow and if they aren't willing to do that then you hang up the phone. That being said, I hope the Miami thing works out if it isn't us.
Yeah, the Heat can cobble up players to match the salaries, but to make it worth Portland's while, they are going to have to get some sweeteners. Either Whiteside or Winslow.
I honestly feel like Miami is just trolling. I honestly feel this. Bosh and LMA are nearly the same player. If LMA was years younger I could explain but...no...they are pretty much the same player and around the same age. I don't get it one bit.
Over/Under for a 25k dinner that Riley will cover tab for. I have slightly over. Riley strikes me as a wine dude. Probably will buy a 5-10k bottle of wine imported from Argentina. Lol.
I don't know why in the world Aldridge would pick Miami, but if he does, and if reports are true that he wants to play alongside a rim protector... that's not Chris Bosh playing the 5. That's Hassan Whiteside. And unless Heat trade Whiteside, there's no way they're getting Portland or anyone to take $20M in salaries. (Even if that were possible, how would they have reasonable minutes for all of those guys up front?) The other option, of course... would be creating the cap room by dealing Bosh. In theory, they could just have a Bosh-for-Aldridge S&T with the Blazers, but there's no way Pat Riley would trade Bosh to a destination against his will less than a year after he shocked the NBA and chose to stay after LeBron left. Major free agents would never take him seriously again. And unless Bosh has some connection to Portland that we don't know about, that situation wouldn't seem to appeal to a star vet in his 30s. The one locale that we know he knows well and had at least some interest in... is Houston. And I think we all know that Daryl would clear room for Bosh in a heartbeat. It's obviously incredibly unlikely... odds are much better that Aldridge simply picks Houston. (And strong probability is that neither happen.) But should LMA improbably pick Miami, I'd be surprised if the Aldridge/Bosh front line is his goal.
