My guess is that right now Cuban is crapping his pants about the state of his team, and won't feel quite as comfortable about throwing around money to play games with the Rockets like he did last year.
If Papa, Prigs, and T-Jones are part of the S&T, it seems the Rockets would only need to add ~6mil additional salary to make the numbers work. I also feel like the Rockets would match 6mil if LMA was to pick the Spurs/Suns. So here's hoping that Bev is offered something between 5.5-7mil
@BimaThug: ...If, say, NYK will take a young guy/pick for doing Beverley S&T, it could facilitate a LaMarcus S&T w/POR w/o using Ariza.
Want to see the money, but like the player if he stays motivated. Not a star obviously. Portland fans have to be depressed.
BOOM. THIS is what I was looking for. Morey must be hoping that someone is going to give Bev a decent size contract so this can be done.
People are sleeping on Memphis. They just got brandan wright, mo Williams and Matt Barnes for their bench. Yeah Barnes sucks but still, big upgrade to the bench. I'm hoping Indy doesn't give Dallas hibbert and Koufus signs out east. Then if DJ stays with Clips Dallas will literally have no one at center
Portland signing the Lakers starting PF in the free agency has a certain poetry to it. Granted Davis isnt nearly the playing LMA is but still
This is what I'm saying. If the Knicks will give Bev $12 million (LOL WTF?) then we can actually do a S&T for LMA without giving up anything. Bev, Kostas and then whatever they want. You want picks? You want a young player? You want nothing? We could literally make it work with just a couple of picks to grease the wheels the way Toronto did on Bosh. Now if they want say Tjones (unlikely) fine, take him. Point is salary matching becomes a non-issue and we can keep Ariza.
