There's always more on the scrap heap. We plucked Delfino/Beverley out of nowhere Harden's first season. Last season we got Brewer/Smith. We'll be fine
No, those types of things can be expected to occur, as they always have for the Rockets. I'm talking about: Parsons out with a bad knee in round one. A rondo situation torpedoing an opponent Chris Paul missing two playoff games Spurs dropping a critical final game of the season to choke away the division. Clippers choking away a 3-1 lead. A miracle hot streak by a notoriously inefficient josh Smith Etc.
Well, the only other options are there by trade. It's not like Lowry is out there this time waiting for us to call again. These guys we are going after right now are the only guys we have to concern ourselves with.
say what?! You mean improbable things like: Our starting power forward, playing the best he ever has, suddenly missing a chunk of the season early due to a career-threatening nerve injury our starting point guard also missing a lot of games early in the season as we trotted out unproven dleague star Isaiah Canaan One of our franchise cornerstones missing a lot of games in the beginning, middle and end of the regular season leading into the playoffs due to a knee injury Starting Tarick Black at center Having to trade Tarick Black and start the 6'6" Joey freaking Dorsey at center Our starting power forward coming back playing well for. The career-threatening nerve injury only to succumb to a punctured lung that affected him for the rest of the year Our replacement starting power forward, who emerged as our best post option, also suddenly suffers a season-ending injury before the playoffs No, sir. If anything, this team does not get enough credit for its quality depth when fully healthy.
Yes he's better, the only thing that Westbrook doesn't do better is 3pt shot. AD is just better, he's a beast.
I hope all of this ends tomorrow. Rockets should get Lamarcus, Spurs should get Monroe, Clippers re-sign Deandre Jordan, Portland re-signs Wes Mathews, Mavs get nothing. Who says no to this?
Agree with this, we definitely overachieved last season. Then do what we did last year, I think Morey did a pretty good job after Bosh ****ed us. Who did we miss out on so far that you felt would have been a good addition?
All out of targets are not free agents so we are not missing out on anything, they will still be available for trade
Not sure I said I feel we missed out on anyone. I'm simply concerned about where we will be if we whiff on retaining our own guys (which was allegedly the plan at the outset).
