The Spurs were undoubtedly the favorites to sign LMA before AND after the meetings. Somehow this is a knock on Houston? Get real, folks
They might have to give up Mills, it's probably going to depend on where the salary cap ends up, as there were talks that it may be $2MM higher than originally expected (probably can keep Mills in that case), but that's not officially and could be till the 9th before that's finalized.

Who they have to give up depends entirely on what LMA will want his starting salary to be and what Duncan and Manu are willing to do.

There were reports in the spring Pop might retire before the end of his current contract - so ~3 years. Minorities? Really? Son lives in SA - great it's 3 hrs drive or a 20 minute flight. He can visit anytime. Their team is going to be in a tough position in a few years I think - Kawhi is the only real future on the team - a max contract with the Rox at least puts him in position to succeed for the length of the max contract barring injuries.
From one of the earlier posts in this thread, it looked Manu would have to accept a paycut of at least half of last year's salary. Would he wanna go another season at his age making that little? I suppose the Spurs could give him a nice raise next year when the cap goes up, but that would also hurt their ability to improve the team should they come up short in the playoffs this season.
Papa for Mills + pics maybe OK! But I don't think Morey will do this trade. If we can't get a elite pg like Bledesoi from trade, I think Morey will hold to wait
Why drive 3 hrs when you can be there. And who knows when pop will retire. And anyway he hasnt agreed yet. Its not over.
brewer wants a long term deal now because he knows his style of play may lead to some injury that would put his future earnings at risk.
