    Thanks.

That's out of our zone, so you can take "resigning Brewer with early bird rights" off the list of benefits to staying over the cap.

I've said it earlier........if you can't get Lamarcus, we should dip below the cap and sign Llull and KJ McDaniels with cap space.

Never claimed that to be the case. Smith at 2.5 mill is great. Smith at 5-10 mill is not so great. Millsap is clearly being overpaid in this market and adequately paid (for at least a year) in the 2016 market. But at some point there are diminishing returns for value production and there's a lot of players that exist between the value spectrum of Smith and Millsap (not saying Smith is at the bad end of the free agent spectrum)

Maybe orlando will sign smith. Hennigan has lost his mind anyway.

Brewer's contract should be similar to the deal Aminu got from Portland (4/$30 million) and not anything higher than that.

Woof. The money being thrown around so far in free agency is astounding. Maybe Brew will stay on a little discount to compete for a title, but I can't blame the man if he wants to go and get his money. Looks like Dekker might be getting a lot of PT next year. I hope he's ready.

If we're lucky, Brewer can get his contract and money in a sign-and-trade that lets us keep Ariza.....?

If brewer gets that, I hope its from the celtics. There could definitely be a 3 way trade with wallaces huge expiring over in bos.

Trevor has to be a little sick right now. Probably could get 4/48 million this offseason.

Probably 5/70 tbh, he's a bargain and I'd hate to trade him because he's so vital to our defense.

Amazing - he really like LA. Feels with next year opening up... They have a great shot at big players again and can revamp the team.

Lamarcus said he would love Lopez to join him in LA.

I like this line of thinking. Could we still sign Smith at 2.5 mil without using cap space? We should be able to clear 8-10 mil pretty easily under the cap for Llull and KJ if that is what Morey wants to do but not so sure since he says he plans to operate above the cap but could be smokescreen.

Was thinking about that. We know Cleveland was trying to get him from the Timberwolves, and they're sitting on that ridiculous Haywood contract. They can't sign Brewer outright because they're over the cap, and we know Love and Brewer are good friends.

    Maybe something like this?

    HOU In: Lamarcus
    CLE In: Brewer
    POR In: Haywood + Assets

Obviously other pieces would be involved....but this could make sense for everyone involved.

    lol +1000

Even if the rockets wanted to match that you can't pay Brewer more than Ariza... The locker room would explode.
