Adding Trevor would be the easiest way financially however, there are other avenues to achieve LMA through a S&T

Theoretically the Rockets could possibly avoid adding Trevor Ariza in an S&T for LMA if they signed Jason Terry and Corey Brewer to specific deals. However, Jason Terry wants to win now in this point in his career so I doubt he would agree and Corey could possibly be signed to a larger deal our right by another team so in my opinion it is highly unlikely!

Now we could always add another team to help facilitate in which the players involved would vary! Every options has its own complications!

 

If we where getting Aldridge, I would have absolutely no problem with loosing Dmo and or Jones, who will be free agents next off season. We will not miss Dmo him with Aldridge in town, and we wouldn't pay him next summer either.

Basically Dekker replaces Brewer.
