$3M/year might make him the highest paid non-NBA player in the world. Or at least in the top 10.

I think I edited my own response, seeing someone else had just posted something that negated it.

I'm thinking they know by now.

I do doubt it is happening. Full MLE money is to high a price to pay for an an above average Euroleague player who is 27 with no NBA experience. That is more than the Bulls gave Mirotic. Less than that possibly lands Stuckey which might free up money for Smith.

won't we have to wait on Aldridge / Love or whoever big fish is to see if we need to clear cap space first?

Then if we decide that is not happening move on to Llull and the MLE?

That post assumes that Duncan just does not accept a serious pay cut. I would not bet against it. LMA and Duncan at $4M/year.

I posted this earlier and in the random trade thread. How about this trade?

Trevor Ariza, DMO, Kpap, Terrence Jones, and Nick Johnson for LMA

I think the opposite. Until we know we are not scoring on one of the elite prospects are there is no trade for another PG we don't sign Llull.

What if LMA is on the table and the Blazers like Llull. Or Rubio is on the table for Dmo and Llull. If either is even remotely possible u don't sign Llull early.

Llull's camp has already said they haven't heard from the Rockets as of late. That may not be true but it would make sense if Morey is not sure what he is going to do.

Why? The only value is Ariza and DMo.

Nope Vlade won't allow it. Not with what LA has to offer. Randle and junk. LA is not giving up Russell.

We wont sign him until the moratorium ends. By then we will know if lma wants to be here. I wouldnt trade llull and dmo for rubio.

I am wondering if all the talk about Llull is about trading Llull to a team that will sign him. Llull's rights (if he's ready to sign and agreeable to sign a deal with the team we would trad him to) plus the non-guaranteeds and Dorsey is enough salary to bring back over $11.4 million in salary. Throw in Nick Johnson and/or Terrence Jones and now you're up over $16 million.

Just something to consider. There may be a team out there willing to trade for Llull's rights and sign him to be a starter for them.

And they may be willing to give Llull more up front money than we can give with the MLE. I'm sorry but if the buyout is 5 million Euros you're basically talking about asking Llull to play for nothing for an entire season before he makes bank in his second season. That's just not realistic.

But cyber said that divac already ok a trade but the lakers refused. Smh. That means that even divac has accepted that cuz will move on. Remember its just june. These trades usually happen late july or august when the pressure is even more on .

Ofc i find the original offer lowball and what i suspect will be the final offer i find ridiculous and insulting. But its the lakers. They always get who they want.
