As a fellow Hoya, I am curious why you posted a picture of the "other" Josh Smith? Did he sign with the Rox? (Good track record between Hoyas and Rockets!)
Very nice. We didn't meet with Melo or Bosh on the first day. Seems Morey is making up for the mistake he made last time. First impressions are everything. Are H&H going with? You like our chances as much as Doc does? lol
The situations are not the same. The thunder were already set and had legit superstars already there. Tobias is orlandos most proven commodity...
I have no idea how they would negotiate the cap to make this work, but it is exciting that we are willing to consider it to make it happen. Also, the more I hear Lamarcus to San Antonio as the most likely option, the more signing him seems like a win-win to me. Now there is even more incentive to get Aldridge: gain him on our team, but also keep him off the Spurs!
Don't want LMA. We get him you can kiss Ariza goodbye which means you can kiss our defense goodbye. LMA also doesn't play D. Just bring in a damn PG. This team went to the damn WCF beat up for god sake
I'm not sure why the media insists on making the odds of a S&T seem so complicated. It's actually very simple. Portland already knows they're losing Aldridge, potentially for nothing in return. The Rockets have $7 million in non-guaranteed salaries (Pap/Prigs), so to get to within range of Aldridge's $19-million starting salary, you'd only have to put in about $10 million of outgoing salary. Combine Ariza with Capela and one of D-Mo/Jones, and that's a VERY attractive return for the Blazers, given their situation. The challenge is getting Aldridge to pick Houston. But if he does, there's an extremely easy route for them to make a four-year, max offer. (Of course, given the cap spike after 2016, there's also some chance Aldridge might want a shorter deal... which would complicate things greatly.)
