This is a small part of my life. I'm on the road right now talking to my smart phone. I've made 12 stops today and have probably been more productive than you have.
Ok and let's say we do trade them and get all that cap space. What then when Love/Aldridge/XXX doesn't want to sign here.
Are you sure? Or did none of that happen and you are at home where you always are posting on clutchfans?
Lol this is great. Jones is better then Zeller. Motie is better then Zeller. Smith is better then Zeller. Let that sink in. Zeller has a 4 million dollar contract, the 4th pick is like 3 or 4 mill right? That's 7 or 8 million, there for you wouldn't even be saving money by trading Ariza for Zeller and picks.
The big picture is also alot worse with that trade...ariza can be traded anytime we want, surely next year his interest will go down but he can still be traded if we sign durant and just go over the cap to resign dmo ... Pg?? harden/terry durant /#18 Dmo/smith dwight/capela Theres no way i would trade Capela Dmo and 18 for hezonjia thats just idiotic. and leaves us with a one year deal for smith at PF. and no one but a potential scola or west to backhim up. We are in great position teamwise as we stand now, other than ariza we dont have a contract for more than 5 mill, to take advantage of that you dont trade dmo and lose his bird rights so you can get zeller.
Looking at the big picture, Ariza might be the second most important player on the team. Not definitely.. but maybe. Definitively the third. Not that the Rockets defense shined in the playoffs, but Ariza's defensive versatility was huge. And you have to have one or two players with that type of defensive versatility to win a championship. HAVE TO. Picking up a defensive small forward who is among the best in the league defensively, who can also hit threes, and who is paid appropriately is not easy to do. Trading him away for Cody Zellar is moronic. If the Rockets need to clear cap space to sign players, DM will find ways to do it getting better value back than Cody Zellar.
1. Go after Goran. 2. Go after Llull 3. Consider taking #10 plus Josh McRoberts from Miami so they can re-sign Wade and Goran. 4. Offer Jonas Jerebko a nice front-loaded deal w/non-guaranteed year 2. 5. Offer Jae Crowder a nice front-loaded deal with non-guaranteed year 2. 6. Sign Alonzo Gee. 7. Re-sign our own guys on cap holds on nice 2 year deals with the back end non-guaranteed. 8. .......... Here's my explanation that may help you understand my mindset. I believe Mario Hezonja is a superstar and would push this team towards a dominant dynasty even before we get another superstar. I'd take him #1 in the draft if I had the first pick. Yes, that's even over Karl Townes.
I don't. Just scrolled through my phone. I've had 27 phone conversations and 10 face to face conversations. Dictating here is a relief.
You believe a draft prospect that's projected to go OUTSIDE of the top 5 is a nba superstar? Just like Zeller's going to be a superstar? C'mon bro.
I'm still trying to think of words to describe the idea of essentially trading away Ariza, Dmo, Capela, and #18 for Cody Zeller and Mario Hezonja.....I just can't.
