but why would the rights be considered any kind of asset if you cant get llull to want to come play in the nba
I hope you don't charge a lot for your insider letter. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">ESPN sources say Cavs forward Kevin Love has opted out of the final year of his contract and will be a free agent July 1</p>— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/613773397059870721">June 24, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Here's another case of a rumor that needs expanded upon in order to fully understand and have an opinion on. What are they annoyed and fed up with? Sergio is in the middle of finishing up his playoff run. Why would the Rockets feel like the deserve a straight answer at this point? Is this about the contract offer? The Rockets only have the MLE to offer. Sergio's camp is going to be fully aware that this is the offer, and they can't negotiate further this year. If anything it would Sergio's camp that would be fed up and annoyed with the Rockets because of their draft, trades, and free agency plans which are very much up in the air. Are they going to trade for a PG? Are they bringing back Beverley? Are they drafting a PG? are they going to use their MLE on someone else first, and go back on their word? All of these things scream concerns more for Llull's camp that the Rockets camp. So to fully understand what in the world is the purpose of this report, we need full expansion rather than just saying "The Rockets are annoyed"... what does that even mean?
Kind of makes sense to me. He still is just as likely to stay with the Cavs on a 1 year deal. Unless he was un-confident in his health, there is no reason why you shouldn't get some extra cash in a one-year deal, and cash in on free agency next year when the cap goes up. Opting in for the last year I'm pretty sure pays him less than a one year max deal.
Thanks. However, if there is no clear path w/SL than his rights' value would be uh, devalued. Or, he could be part of a Lowry package, and that I would believe.
