I wouldn't be surprised, though, if George Karl was after Lawson and Faried as had been reported. Maybe they can swing something, one way or the other, although the original Chris Sheridan leak about Denver possibly getting Boogie for those guys.....nah. But some combination of #6 and other parts? Maybe. Don't know if the Knicks would want to waste so much freed-up precious cap space on a malcontent, unless they think Lawson would be excellent in the triangle. And believe me, from yesterday's NYT article, Phil Jackson is still very much Big Chief Triangle. And looking for a big who'd excel in it.
I hear you on the lefty Anderson. Hard for me to even guess who the unpredictable Morey picks at #18 and I would assume he takes the BPA no matter of need.
I know you didn't ask me this question, but I would assume no, unless he thinks D-Mo is damaged goods, and that doesn't seem to be the case.
who here is still smoking the cool aid for jones? true inconsistency. one day batman. next day the janitor. There is a reason that DMO wasn't offered for Dragic and Jones was.
#7, Lawson, and Faried for DeMarcus outright makes the most sense of all the rumors leaked between Sacramento and Denver. Now, throw the Knicks in at #4. If Okafor and Russell are gone with Townes when the Knicks are on the board you might see a 3-way shufffle with DeMarcus ending up in Newk or Denver. Trade possibility 1: #7, Lawson, and Faried to Sacramento for DeMarcus. Trade possibility 2: #4 to Denver Lawson, Demarcus to Knicks #7, Faried to Sacramento
I don't care about his no shooting the 3, get a 4 that can and stretch things out for us. My problem is FT shooting if jones, smith, Capela all are getting mins next yr. Howard & rondo shooting bad fts is enough, anything else is just too much
I think cyberx innocently doesn't quite grasp that Morey is a little bit more nerdy like us than other GM's/agents. While I'm sure Lee's cred is still superior to DMo's among 29 other teams, I'm certain Morey does not share that idea with them. D-Mo had back surgery very proactively and with plenty of rest. He's not a particularly top heavy guy, and doesn't rely tremendously on athleticism. He'll most likely be completely unaffected. He's on the cusp of a breakthrough and he's already a better defensive player than Lee has ever been his entire career. Having said that, Lee is a nice player and I would take him over Jones right now because we are hoping for each of our three PF's to make breakthroughs while we know what Lee can bring off the bench. Lee wouldn't come here to back D-Mo up for the minimum and we wouldn't spend more than that on him given our hole at PG. In this particular instance, I believe cyberx is sharing an opinion rather than passing on info about our interest - which is refreshing. Sometimes people here act like he can't have an opinion for some odd reason.
Whats the latest? I haven't been on this past week, rep and appreciation to whomever can update me. Doesn't have to be just Rockets news btw.
We know now that Haymitch had deep hatred for a 14 year old Ricky Rubio and he was right to feel that way.
I doubt we get Lee because the only way we get him is via trade and unless it's a 3-way trade then I don't see us trading with the Dubs. David Lee was pretty bad last season coming off his injury. As a starter though he was actually pretty good offensively. I'm referring to all his seasons before this recent one. Lee was always an efficient scorer and a solid rebounder at his position. Great passing. Lee did about everything better than Donuts except play defense. Better free throw shooter. Better rebounder. More efficient scorer. Can't knock down the three but a can knock down the mid range J. The Rockets don't need Lee because he doesn't fit for what we need. I can see multiple other teams wanting Lee though. Kings, Raptors, Wizards, Bucks, Hornets, and Suns could all use a player like Lee.
