What's Seth Curry's current situation? I thought he shot the ball pretty well for our SL team, in small sample size minutes. I wonder why we didn't give him more run.

Cyber, clearly you're actively engaged right now, any word on trade targets with that Papa/jones package?
WTF?! I thought the champion to be Sergio Llull and his 4 points, 2 assists a night was the best pg in europe?
You know I said the same sentiment about Scola in the other thread. Vet min....offensive help from deep in the roster line up which begs the question: if you could get scola or lee and both for the vet min but only one roster spot to give who do you prefer. I like scola more but that's just because I know him better than lee and like the heart he plays with.
The David Lee vs. D-Mo/Jones argument is pretty damn pointless. If Lee is waived and stretched, its very likely there are still a number of teams with capspace that will sign him for a pretty penny. Obviously they won't pay him 15 mil per, or else they would just trade for him, but they will pay more than the Rockets realistically have to offer which would be the MLE which is under 6 mil per. On top of that, the Rockets have the most major hole at the PG spot, and have been publicly courting Llull with that MLE likely being what is being used. The Rockets aren't signing David Lee once or if he gets waived. They might try, but they aren't going to have that kind of salary cap space to play where other teams will to sign him.
Too much love for Montijunas and Jones. Neither of them are starters on an elite team. They are really bench players. If you can get Lee cheap, then you do it. He can at least rebound, move the ball around and hit middle range jumpers... something no one else at the 4 spot consistently does. The PF and PG positions are huge festering holes at this point.
Can someone Give me Lees stats when he was starting? NOT this year... Dont base it on one year. Also - if someone has the stats he had in the finals with his short mins? Guy can pass like crazy too. Good locker room guy. You guys realize... DMO had BACK surgery right?
You do realize that you are talking about one of the most injury prone players in the NBA right? When is the last time Lee made it through a full season? Also, you must realize you are talking about signing a 32 year old David Lee, not a 26 year old David Lee. The player that he was once upon a time is irrelevant. Why not just sign Steve Nash? He was awesome once upon a time too.
That said, I respect your information, I just don't think this bit of analysis is accurate. If he was the type of player he once was, the Dubs would find a trade for him. After all, his embarrassingly awful contract only has one year left on it.

I agree, he's a good player. Just this year simply got beat out by a better fit for what they were trying to do defensively. That being said I don't really understand your point respectively. The Rockets have what avenue to acquire him? They would have to strip down their roster and renounce rights to free agents in order to get the necessary cap space if he was waived. Even then that might not be enough. They could trade for him yes, but how is that going to help the team when you have to move out that much to make salaries match? If the Rockets want to try to get him with the MLE, that puts them out of the running for acquiring Llull.... the player you earlier said was penciled in as the Rockets starter, then was wanting to stay in Europe, and reports are the Rockets are dying to bring him over. So again... I get it that Lee probably is a better player than D-Mo... but what's the point of debating that?
Why wouldn't they be. The guy had back surgery. Until he gets back on the court and shows that he's back healthy, I think its totally normal to be worried. Doesn't mean anything about anything with Lee though. Its not mutually exclusive. Show me how D-Mo and his back have anything to do with David Lee.
Lee is still a good player. And because of that i still cant understand how the Rockets will sign him if hes stretched. He will get many offers that are more than a vet min.
And it is not just offers. Other team's probably will be able to offer him more playing time and a bigger role. I get the sense that Lee wants to get more time on the court.
David Lee would be a nice addition to our wounded forwards project! Look at what Smith was able to do once he left Detroit! Lee could do the same thing!
You talk about Lee being injury prone and old, but D-Mo just came back from back surgery. His future is incredibly cloudy right now.
Yeah..he just got a ring. But he will also get a lot of money. So i cant say he will take a ridiculous pay cut to sign for the vet min to chase a ring. What i can see him wanting most is playing time and perhaps a starter job. Tho by all reports hes a great lockeroom guy who doesnt complain about time and sacrifices.
