Not true. It can be somewhat of a nuisance. But won't preclude a trade. . That is a definite possibility. I doubt we sit it out too. Unless someone snaps up Tyus Jones ahead of us.
Do the Rockets really need reinforcements? 56 wins with 230 roster games lost to injury. WCF with two starters missing the entire playoffs.
Just because the Rockets don't make a draft night trade, it doesn't mean that they won't be looking to trade the guy they draft soon. For example, the Rockets traded Donte Greene in the summer after he was drafted. They also traded Jeremy Lamb for Harden before the regular season started in Lamb's rookie year and earlier during that summer league, the Rockets were looking to trade multiple young draftees for Dwight Howard.
Yes. And that #7/Lawson deal for #4 is a possibility. Indy has multiple trade options for Rubio. Flip won't be caring about incoming contracts that are expiring. Yes, Sacramento can do some crazy things. Like trading for Rudy Gay and then signing him to an extension. Yes, Celts have smart. Rubio/Smart is a very nice backcourt. They've got plenty of picks coming and cap space. Remember......they wanted to trade away Gerald Wallace with a first rounder to get his contract off the books. That Wallace/pick deal combined with their pick in this draft may be enough to get into the top 10 and satisfy Flip.
Picks and expirings. If KD tells Presti he is leaving...what choice does Presti have? Only two choices: 1. Take whatever he can get from the team KD wants to go to. or 2. Hold onto KD and gamble that he can get him re-signed or at least execute a sign-and-trade next summer.

Well..personally i dont think smart can play sg so i dont think he will make a good backcourt with rubio. And i think that ainge aims much higher than rubio. He wants a star not a top15-20pg. We will see but i wouod be surprised if nuggets cant find a taker and flip can for such a high price to boot. Because in the end rubio demands a system around him and needs multiple shooters. Unfortunately he manages to get injured almost every season and hasnt shown much improvement all his years in the league. Whereas you can fit Lawson into most teams.(still a bad fit for the rockets). Rubio doesnt fit the modern nba and the league is a league of trends. Gms copy what they see working and a pg who cant shoot doesnt seem to work.
How stupid. =_=.. rj hunter is projected to be drafted around 20+ but with this leak they lose the leverage. Any team 10-16 can draft him and blackmail them. I dont understand why cho would let this leak. The celtics would look to trade 16+ 28 for #9.
1. Jack is essentially an expiring contract with a very small guarantee for 2016 that makes him a trade chip. Lawson is not. He'd be on the books. 2. In addition to that..there is the possibility that we could possibly trade for Jack and another asset for essentially expirings/non-guaranteeds instead of giving up assets for Lawson. Lawson will both deplete our asset and cap space. 3. Jack plays defense. Lawson does not. The one thing we know is we've got to have defenders bracketing Harden. Have to have defenders bracketing Harden. Defenders around Harden. Defenders around Harden. Call that hypocrisy if you want. I call it two different players, two different situations. Keep pumping Lawson though. Be my guest.
If Durant comes on the block at the deadline next spring, OKC is going to command a king's ransom for him. The Cavs had to give up Wiggins just to get Kevin Love. I see OKC and KD working out a deal outside of the Western Conference to a team like Washington as far more likely. That said, I think it's all a moot point - KD will likely stay in OKC with Westbrook.
Perhaps he really doesn't want Hunter and he really wants to trade down for someone else. The team blackmailing them may just screw themselves. Not a bad plan.
Exactly. Why would Durrant ever leave OKC and Westbrook and Ibaka? That is a 60 win team for the next four years. They will work out a deal.
Beverley is not coming back here. We already have to "shake up" the starting 5. Yes. We did make it to the WCF. But we can't be content with that. We have to bring in guys who will put us over the top. Which leads to questions like: Are guys like D-Mo ready for that kind of competition? If the front office feels as if he is, they keep him and add some pieces to the bench. If not, we bring in a guy who will put us over the top like LaMarcus...
Rubio is no different than Harden in demanding a system around him. Harden demands a system around him too. And we still haven't gotten it right yet. So, consequently Harden takes way too many possessions winding down the clock and getting off bad looks that he knocks down at a still acceptable rate because of how great he is. But we've got to get better around him. Rubio has been surrounded with the worst jump shooters in the whole league every year he's played in the NBA. And he needs shooters. So, while we haven't maximized Harden, Minnesota for sure hasn't maximized Rubio by getting shooters around him. Rubio does fit the NBA just fine and when he gets on a good team with good 3&D shooters you're gonna find out how good he is. He's a double-digit assist machine waiting to to doll out the rock. When he finds the right fit you'll be talking about how much he improved.
I wish PHX would magically deal Bledsoe to us. He would be my favorite choice to play next to Harden. Oh well at least I can make it happen in 2K
1. Jack is not a good defender. His defensive numbers are comparable to Lawson. 2. He was straight up garbage from three last season. 3. Lawson will demand double teams and collapse our defense, he will make life so much easier for Dwight. He will also get Harden easy looks. Perhaps Jack can do this also but not to the same degree. 4. I seriously doubt Lawson's contract is a major issue here, seeing as the cap is set to increase exponentially after the completion of this upcoming season, which means Morey has flexibility to re-sign Dwight and chase Durant. 5. You think Rubio would be a better fit on the Rockets than Lawson, enough said.
