Idc how old Scola is. He deserves to retire as a rocket. It sucks we didn't trade for harden before cutting him.

Cyberx, do you know if the Rockets are indeed going to try to bring over Sergio Llull?

A front court rotation of Dwight, LMA, Capella, Smith, and DMo or Jones would be pretty sick. We would lose Ariza though, and finding a replacement would be hard unless we hit the jackpoint during the draft.

Dmo would love Scola here they would be best buds and Dmo could benefit greatly from some tips from Scola

Believe it when I see it, on both of those guys.

Scola is more believable if the Rockets deal away from their PF depth, but unless they do that he has no role on the team.

At a minimum, Dwight and Capela will be logging minutes at the 5 and if Morey keeps Josh Smith, he has minutes at the four alongside DMO and TJones.

You'd have to trade one or both of the young guys in order for Scola to have any minutes, and if you are doing that to bring in Aldridge, then there is maybe some third string minutes?

I don't know, haven't watched Scola at all with Indiana. Is that where his game is at right now? 3rd stringer minutes?

I imagine it would be a sign and trade and two of the following three would be included (Dmo, Jones, Capella)

I am guessing we would still have Brewer in this scenario?

And don't forget to add Scola to your front court. ;)

Yes! Bring back "1 scoop or 2 scoops" Scola. Harden can cook and Scola can serve scoops of icecream.

Yeah I don't see it after looking at the numbers. Are the Rockets really going to trade all of their depth PLUS Ariza for Aldridge?

    I'd be shocked honestly.

I could see Scola coming back on a 2008 Steve Francis sort of deal. Let him retire here.

I really love this Core we have now. But LMA would be amazing.

Excellent season of the bench, one of the most productive power forwards

Why would we lose Ariza? I doubt Portland would askfor him when they have a younger Batum logging 30+ mins/night.

Yes, we would still have Brewer, but Brewer isn't half the defensive player Ariza is.

In this scenario, I would skip getting a point guard with our MLE, and spend all of it on defensive wing.

If a star demands a trade, shocking stuff can happen. Gasol to L.A. comes to mind.

Ariza is the player that makes enough salary to make the trade work. Ariza could end up somewhere else but we can't make work without his salary.
