Look for one PF (Tough) (Bounced around a little bit) Brandon Bass -Look for one combo/guard (Morey type of player, low risk, high reward i.e. Jsmith) Gary Neal or Foye -*Darkhorse: Shooting Guard that fits our no 2 point jumpers. Not my coaching philosophy, but we'd do well with Rip Hamilton. We need some easier shots. Kevin Martin
They don't want to strengthen a Western conference rival. If I were in their shoes, I would do the same thing. I just wish we would have taken an early hint and pushed for other trades harder rather than waiting on PHX.
We tried to trade TJ. We have to let go of TJ sooner or later since we cannot pay both DMo and TJ. With regards to Perk, Perk will play starting center until Dwight comes back. Strong defensive presence. Although another guy who can't shoot, so good luck to our spacing and DMo not being double-teamed.
I'd just like to point out that I predicted both the KJ McDaniels and Pablo Prigioni after they happened.
Very disappointing on my end. Presti really did a lot of good work yesterday. It was like a chess match and he won the day. Destroyed at least one deal we were working on. It is my understanding that a buyout with DWill is still very much in play and if it happens he is coming here. Waiver wire could get crazy over the next few days. I am speculating there is a connection between Eric Bledsoe and Cleveland. Phoenix was very adament about not trading Bledsoe. It seems like there were a lot of promises made to Bledsoe and Rich Paul to get that contract signed, including making him the lead guard and not trading him without consent. I think Bledsoe is Kevin Love insurance. Cleveland has Love committed for next season. They'll figure out whether they are going to keep him or trade him to the team of his choice. PHX gummed up the works with the IT signing and Ennis drafting and mostly with the Bledsoe negotiations. They should have traded Bledsoe and kept Goran. Now they've locked themselves into mediocrity for several seasons. Morris Brothers are going nowhere, just going to clog their cap and produce mediocrity. I don't agree on Goran not doing big things in Miami. I think he's going to shine for the next few years over there. (If only we had signed Whiteside instead of Dorsey. ) This health issue has cropped up with Bosh but if they get that untangled they'll give Cleveland a run in the East this year. And if not, then if Bosh recovers by next season I fully expect they will be a top 4 team in the East. And I'm pretty sure Goran is gone...off our landscape permanently. They're gonna give him his 5-year deal. He's not a free agent target. I am just hoping at this point that we can get Perk to back up Dwight and that possibly DWill springs free. I do not want to see this season that James is having get wasted. And right now, it doesn't feel like we have enough to get to the top of the mountain. Playoff defenses are going to choke James down and keep choking him. Prigioni is a nice simple get. He can play. Extremely high bball iq. Good shooter. Disrupts the passing lanes. But...if he gets isolated it's over. Right now it feels like we're going to get involved in a lot of shootouts come playoff time and come up on the short end. I can't see Terry and Prigioni co-existing defensively. Especially when you bring them off the bench. So, don't know how that dynamic is going to work. I'm wondering if McHale will consider alternating them with Bev, having Terry play with the starters and Prigioni being the primary playmaker when Harden sits. Prigioni is capable and is the second best playmaker on this team at this point. We gave up Canaan. He is going to rip it up in Philly. Trust me on that one. Expect him to have several 30 point games and maybe even get a 40 over there before this season ends. Some of you will be wondering why we traded him and Philly will have to bench him in crunch time to keep from winning too many games. It does bother me that McHale refused to play him because McHale apparently felt like Canaan didn't practice hard enough. Can't you see how much time he has practiced and put into his craft? Come on now. That boy isn't a slacker. Get real. McDaniel is nice but he isn't helping us this year. Going to be behind everybody else. And he's got to get his jumper fixed. That's one thing we aren't good at. We don't have a shooting coach. We just let guys work on their shot on their own instead of helping them change their mechanics. But I understand acquiring McDaniel nonetheless. This could spell the trading of Ariza in the near future, either this summer or some point next season. We are in a race with Cleveland to 4 superstars. That's why we were trying to get a superstar PG. Still may get him this summer too. And we are waiting on Love.....still. One Love
Shved attained a 19.something PER playing for Philly. Didn't help them win. When he was traded to Houston, didn't help the Rockets.
I still see absolutely no reason - apart from temporary insanity - for Dwill to agree to a buyout. I also don't see how Bledsoe could have worked in the Cavs no matter the connection. He is a BAD BAD BAD fit with Kyrie.
buyout =/= waiving There's no incentive only negatives for Dwill to accept a buyout There's no incentive only negatives for Nets to waive him.
His last real post was a rumor that the Lakers offered a package of Lin, Hill and picks (with filler) for Lawson. Nuggets were, apparently, pretty interested. Of course, people flamed cyberx for it and cyberx tried to explain that it was something that he heard and such. But of course, people still continued to flame him even when cyberx was saying he was going to leave. So cyberx left...
If that is true about not wanting to take on McGee, that is really messed up. I would take McGee over freaking Dorsey, no matter how dumb the guy is. It would be temporarily anyway. Also, if we wanted to, we could've trumped that Blazers package! NOP pick should've been in play for Afflalo.
Good morning, Needed to write to my fellow fans as a means of coping with, well, you know. Basketball is part of my life and is a great distraction. For you all: I understand him leaving. It's hard to give info that's legit (Though, I don't know Cyberx) I'm going to peace out soon for a bit after some of the flaming, but anyway, I need an early morning distraction. Had my pre-practice meeting with Thunda and spoke later with him. Lots of notes and then he gives me my couple of minutes of personal questions Like I said, living in PHX gives me an ear and it's obvious my guys know I love the Rox. Goran is brainwashed by Desperate Duffy to be Branded like Wade/LeBron. It's not happening. PHX is DONE with Goran. Expect boos for the rest of his career. The team was betrayed. Just ask the Twins. Right now, expect TRob to go to the Desert. That will be enough to satisfy the twins. That's what I'm hearing. They need size and strength. I think they lost in this deadline. They gave away Goran to BRAND him and IT to a terrible team. This is early, but how would you feel about a dude that used to knock down the likes of Crash Bandicoot, Bone-To-Bone-Retirement (2xxx in Minny), and even told Dahntay (yes, I knew this back when I lived in the D) to push Kobe into the stands? He's nasty, but knows his role. He's better than Dorsey. Just a question....it's early though. Love ya'll. -Cod
