I had a feeling we were the mystery team in on Afflalo. If I had to bet I would guess that we offered the NYK pick and expirings.

Thanks for this. As for unpredictable, who woulda thunk Presti would regain respect for an excellent day? They would have been an interesting out; now, they are a very hard out.

Buy out possibilities? We looking at DWill and Perk?

Re: Pags, was this as much to get a TE and a tradable (low guarantee) contract for the summer?

    Again, thanks for this write-up!

I'm extremely disappointed by today, but as you know, the NBA operates in the realm of unpredictable decisions. ThundaD was even laughing at me and told me to get back to work, with our guys.

Anyway, this is what I was told from reliable people. I live in Phoenix. I have a heavy ear here and direct communication with some voices in the Suns' org. I'm grateful, but it's a curse because we lost out on Dragic. It was all about BRANDING at first, but as you see, PHX played "nice guy" and send him to....well, those guys.

Allegedly, there is not a true list from Goran. It was all of his agent. ALL of it. Goran really just wanted out of PHX. The entire team is already tired of Horny.

Secondly, from my Colorado ears, Morey wanted Arron Affallo badly. More than Lawson. He was trying to make that happen today, apparently. He had an interest in JJ like last year, but he was unwilling to take on MCGee. That whole team wants to be far far away from Shaw.

Brotherhood: That Brooklyn organization is in disarray. There was interest in KG reunited with McHale.....the wild card was Dwill. You may hate him, but Morey does not. He fits the mold of "new environment, new player." Morey explored that as well.

The Raptors pieces were explored, but Ujiri didn't bite. We had interest in improving our depth. Brotherhood, you can see who that would be.

Personally, I was hoping for Arron, but that's just my opinion towards improving our guard spot. Pablo is not what I thought would be sufficient. I feel like that was last minute.

The only news that I've heard that made me smile was Dwight. We pushed hard at the PG spot because, once again, Dwight is said to be ahead of schedule.

I shouldn't apologize for what went down today, as it was obviously out of my control. However, I did report, though cryptically like Doc, what I learned from my personal and professional relationships in the league. I apologize for what some of you thought were riddles.

J-Smooth (Not Josh) says we'll like Pablo's energy and that's he's an underrated defender. I sent him an angry text to him today lol.

Dwight is coming back, and Josh is holding it down.

We will be going after two players that are being bought out in the next few days as insurance either way.

It just didn't go as planned, but if Dragic wanted a brand, good luck, bro. Wow.

He burned Phoenix. Management and a couple of guys in his meeting were not thrilled.

Anyway, I'll disappear for a little while. Feel free to hate. I was just sharing what I heard from a few coaches, players and voices of a couple of decent agents. I'm lucky enough to hear the discussion. It's as simple as that.

One love. Bring the pain if need be. Love ya'll

Great post brother. Wish we could have done a k pap for hickson trade but overall i think the trades keep us at our current pace. I wonder if McDaniels will be sent to D league with Johnson, and Clint

Thank's Cod! It's people like you that make this place special! You didn't have to post what you were hearing and expose yourself to criticism, but your Rockets Red blood wouldn't let you stay quiet! Your post definitely clears up a lot of the questions that most of us have! Like you, I'm extremely disappointed in today's final results, but I still think that this team, with a little bit of luck, might surprise us all! Once again thanks for posting!

Are we still able to sign anyone from the free agency for the playoffs?

The bucks have Henson, Plumlee, Pachulia, and Sanders on their roster. All four of them are better than Joey Dorsey.

Not a position of need. Logjam with Harden, Brewer, and McDaniels

I don't think he'll be bought out, and even if he was bought out, I don't think he wants to wear Rockets! I wouldn't mind having him back though, the guy is a hired gunslinger!

Getting Jones and Howard back and healthy will be the greatest return than any of today's trades could have brought us.

Sure, getting a point guard would be nice but I think we will be okay. I think Bev will come back to being solid (maybe the constant "We need a PG to replace Bev" rumors bothered him? So now that it is settled that he will be our PG the rest of the way will help him). Smith has been our de facto secondary playmaker and has been doing a great job at it.

Today was pretty disappointing but there is still a lot to be happy about. We still have the James "MVP" Harden, arguably the best second unit in basketball (certainly the most athletic with Brewer-Jones-Smith, and now add an athletic freak in KJ) and Dwight is coming a head of schedule.

Heads up, Rockets fans and enjoy the rest of the season.
