Paging insiders, what were the bigger deals the Rockets saved their higher end second round picks for?
Morey himself could've posted a deal that he thought would close with a 99.9%rate. **** happens at the last minute. Someone makes a better deal. Deals fall apart. Whatever it is... nothing ever goes according to plan. I take "insider" information with a grain of salt. So it doesn't bother me. I don't understand why some posters can get so upset or be downright rude towards others whether they're right or wrong.
Then they should stop acting like it. Cyberx is the only one who doesn't act like a fortune teller and just passes on some information about possibilities and discussions that take place within the organization. Everybody else acts like Miss Cleo.
When Doc Rocket says "I talked to this guy and he said X," did you read it as "Doc Rocket is personally saying that X is EXACTLY what is going to happen?" I actually saw Doc Rocket this past weekend (I don't personally know him but share mutual friends). In the same setting, I saw a high-level Rockets figure. Someone who would have access to reliable information. Take that for what it's worth. Admittedly lame to post inside information about an insider.
Don't shoot the messenger. That's what we all should take from this thread. Thanks cyberx and others for the info.
I don't think he does. Not anymore anyway(he probably did naively believe it last summer). But he couldn't trade for Dragic since he was a 3-month rental. And we don't know what the asking price was for the other PGs who were moved. If those teams wanted D-Mo, then I'm glad Morey passed. That being said, I'm reasonably certain Rockets management knows they need a PG badly. Especially since Bev will be a free agent this summer and they probably don't have much of a desire to hand him a fat new contract given his play this season(and injury history). We'll see what they can land in a trade this summer since a free agent acquisition seems unlikely.
nah, I'm sure he's disappointed too that we couldn't land Dragic. For the other PGs, we just didn't have the assets. Those teams were looking for live bodies to get in return. And this year, only DMo was attracting attention.
looking at this riddles on his twitter really pisses me off. nothing even close to what he implied came true.
What makes you think that's what Morey thinks?? Because he didn't pull the trigger on a deal? Perhaps those deals weren't open to us, or we weren't willing to give up legitimate pieces in our rotation for half-season rentals. I'm actually fairly certain Morey DOESN'T believe Beverley is a championship-caliber point guard......he believes Harden is though.
I've put 14 assclowns on ignore today. I'm over this childish nonsense, I've never even used the thing until today. You say ONE stupid thing, I'm exercising my rights lol Enough with the r****dation....
