He probably would deserve rep for the troll he pulled on Clutchfans. He comes out a winner, no matter what happens today.
From what I've read...Drew has connections with Berman... Has Berman ever broke news on any big trades? Maybe signings but trades? Not sure...I'm not getting my hopes up.
Before woj broke all nba trades the past couple of years we relied on BermN, feigen and clutchfans. Berman is probably the best insider in Houston sports media but is beaten to the punch by Woj just like everyone else.
Yep. Dragic is eligible for neither an extension nor a renegotiation of his contract until July 2015. Assuming for a moment that Plowman's info is legit, it may just be that both sides might have a wink-wink deal to re-sign him for more money next summer after Dragic opts out of what is now a bargain basement $7.5 million.

That's sort of the thing with Dragic, he still has his agent from Europe i think (although i think he might have representation from the same agent as Yao in the US?), so that front will always be quiet.
Sounds like the same supposed wink wink agreement the rockets had with parsons prior to letting him off the hook of his bargain basement contract. Watch some desperate team offer Dragic the max and bye bye secret handshake agreement!!! Smells like letdown.
The thing about sports journalists, especially local journalists like Berman and Feigen is that they don't necessarily reveal everything that they know about a "work in progress" transaction until it actually happens. They get info from "sources"-- front office guys, players, and agents-- and generally work to maintain a good relationship with them. Sometimes the source may share a piece of info on condition that the journalist doesn't reveal it (for example: info related to locker room problems, sensitive trade discussion, free agent evaluation, etc.) and in that case the journalist probably will not screw his "source" or else he risks having both that person, and teams and players in general, distrust him. It's not some sort of evil conspiracy or anything when it comes to these trades reports-- there are dozens, if not more, discussions going on at the same time, some serious, some just random ideas sent by one team to another and never get off the ground. Kevin Arnovitz of ESPN talked about how some teams get annoyed by Morey calling/texting them so much with random trade proposals. Sometimes these discussions are just not worth reporting (and sometimes they are reported because a team wants the info out there, to produce an impression that their player is wanted or something).
This. Berman is an actual real reporter bound by ethics whose not trying to generate a twitter following.
