I agree with this. But what I don't understand is, are the marketing/endorsement opportunities that much better in LA/NY than they are in Houston? Houston is home to the HQ of a lot of very large companies. Not to mention the Rocket's relationship with China.

Yes, the marketing opportunities are much better in NY/LA. It's not even debatable. You are a part of a significantly larger media market.

If he is a premier player on those teams then the endorsement/marketing opportunities are through the roof.

I think it worked out better for the Rockets when Bosh didn't sign here. We would've been left without a bench and possibly both D-Mo and T-Jones would've been moved just to clear cap space. All for a guy whose primary motivations were getting paid, being in Miami, having no pressure to win titles, and getting plenty of touches on offense. If Dragic is from the same mold, maybe we're better off with him winding up on the Heat.

if they want to give up all their assets until the 2020's and go all in with a maxed out Dragic and Bosh and an expensive broken down Wade... go for it..

that isn't even a contender in the east... let alone the west.

Miami is 22 - 30 in the east.... the east..and yea, they haven't been healthy... but the guys they have are getting old and breaking down... thats what happens with 30+ year old players who have a ton of mileage on them.. they are injured a lot.

Riley better hope he can attract a FA because he won't have ***** to trade with for another 5 + years.

Jack could be headed our way if I had to guess.

I thought Indy was on yhe list too, but then multiple sauces said Dragic would not resign there. Of course, he's probably wrong.

Sure. But I see JJ Watt on more tv commercials than say, Melo or Kobe. And I live in SC. I know there's more to it than that, I'm just saying, they could make a lot of money here too. And The media market in China surely dwarfs NY and LA, and the favorite team there is Houston.

Not sure if it's doable but he could help with scoring when Harden sits.

It's not practical at all, financially or in terms of fit. He needs the ball a lot and plays Harden's position. Just a back-up 2 guard at best.
