Depends on your idea of "Big Trade". The Trade deadline rarely does have huge names moving around. The Nene, Monta Ellis, and Rudy Gay types typically are the "Big Names" being dangled on trade deadline deals, and Goran Dragic looks to be this years version. Often though, those players end up sticking with their current teams, and we should expect nothing less with Goran and the Suns. I fully expect starting at around 10:30 to 12 to see a flurry of small deals to start coming through. Try to stay in for lunch today if you can. Lots of interesting little cap moves, and player shuffles will come in a flurry all at once. However the league operates where those types of deals are already queued up and ready to go. They just wait until the last minute because why not? With the Rockets, I think you might see a Shved for Ridnour and a 2nd rounder type of deal. Something that can bring in another veteran guard who is widely overlooked. You look at the landscape of the NBA right now, and I think we are looking at having a big July in terms of transactions. You might see a ton of small maneuvers right now that sets up teams cap situations better to pursue their moves this Summer.
Dwill to agree to a buyout will be extremely bad financially for him. I will have to see someone credible saying it before believing it. Like cyber i.e
It wouldn't just be about the money. If they got D Will they would waste another year of Harden and Dwight. With Dwights knee and Hardens contract they can't be wasting time.
**** if he plays anything like he does AGAINST us he'll definitely help. Then again, Dwight never steps out to guard the big man setting the screen so we always get killed by big men who can shoot
If no Dragic trade happens then I imagine that practice & team meetings may be pretty awkward in Phoenix for the rest of the season.
DWill is not going to take a buyout. He'd be walking away from a fortune for no reason. He's not Larry Sanders who just wants to go home and do drugs. Unless the Nets are going to buy him out for 80 to 90% of his remaining salary he's not going to accept one.
Happy Trade Deadline Day! It's like Christmas morning! Let's hope Morey Claus will bring us wonderful presents and not a lump of coal.
The only problem with waiting for the Summer is that the price doesn't go down as in theory, everyone could be competing for the same types of players. Bima did say a legit possibility is the Rockets acquiring Haywood from the Cavs which would push our trade window to the draft.
