One thing that Morey has said several times recently is that "the team will be better by the start of next playoffs than they were at the start of the 2014 playoffs." So, like Bima mentioned, Morey is looking to improve the team for THIS season if he can-- It's just that the improvement may not happen in July 2014, but instead in September, October, December, February, etc. Plenty of time left to make moves.
