I think it is because we gave our 5 year max to Harden.

Let's just say we get Dragic.

    4 years 75-80 mill?

    I think that's pretty insane.

They don't lose it, but just because they can offer a five year deal, doesn't mean they have too offer it.

He means we can offer a larger 4 year contract, as well as a 5 year contract.

won't make up for endorsments or help convince him to stay by turning down his 5th year.

I don't want Dragic at the max or near max when we could have had Lowry at 12 million if we didn't wait on losers like Carmelo or Chris Bosh.

For such a smart man, Morey has had a great number of blunders the last few years.

If the Rockets were to do that he'd probably walk because of disrespect. I imagine that if the Rockets trade for him they are prepared to go to the max for him.

You know, I don't want to get off on a Chandler Parsons tangent, but Dragic is getting what he deserved.
He got his player option for 7.5 mil that he isn't even going to play. So Suns paid him the same that Morey would for 3 years. Morey just wouldn't budge on the player option. And why? Because he was working up something big like Harden. Then Dragic goes to play for the suck booty Suns, never sniffs the playoffs in his 3 years, now has trust issues, while the Rockets are busy acquiring Harden, Howard...finding guys like Parsons, replacing with Ariza Terry Brewer Smith, and all the other great little moves. Dragic didn't trust Morey but Morey is a good guy. And Morey did right by Parsons. He could have stuck it to him another year, but he let him go get paid. Obviously it was ridiculous to match, but he helped Parsons get paid early and a lot. And Dragic had trust issues. He needs to look at himself with those trust issues. He screwed himself by moving himself to the go-nowhere situation he has been in the last 3 years.

the designated player rule is only for rookie extensions. All the vets can get 5 year deals as far the cba is concerned.

I was thinking that you could only sign one 5 year free agent and the Rockets already used that on Harden. I don't know all of the specifics, but I was thinking it was something like that.

I don't want $10 million dollars because I screwed up and missed out on $20 million.

Suns FO screwed up when they dealt with Bledsoe's agent. Too many promises made to too many different players to be able to keep them all. And of course, they gotta keep Bledsoe and his people happy the most. After all, that might actually yield them Love next season.
