That's interesting. Dragic has always been a guy that seemed to keep to himself. Obviously the Suns said something or made a promise they didn't keep.
Goodness...Dragic totally destroyed the Suns at this trade deadline...the guy played his cards well. He will get traded. And Morey is waiting like a fox... The offer the Rockets need to get Dragic is currently at the lowest point.
Malakas when do you sleep? you were at it til what 8 or 9 after an all nighter, and boom back again. You sir are devoted.
Dragic and Smart can work - Dragic can mentor Smart but at the same time hard to imagine Ainge wanting that situation when he gave up a better PG in Rondo earlier this season. Cant imagine Boston wanting Dragic that much but I have no idea what Boston's plans are
Somebody stated earlier that he had "heard" that Dragic + Thomas was OK with Gogi, but them turning around and giving 70+M to Bledsoe (Dragic + Thomas + Bledsoe) was not. Take that for what it's worth.
Its 22:10 herr. Lol i sleep when all the good **** goes down T.T Smart is not like bledsoe at all. I like the fit. Smart is mostly defence and tries to better his shoot a bit . still a rookie. Will learn a lot from dragic..
BTW, I absolutely LOVE this new All-Star break where no games happen until AFTER the Trade Deadline. This is like a MINI FA period in the middle of the season. Pretty cool. PLUS, it allows GMs to make deals and have players get physicals etc before games are played depending on when the deals get made.
3 team deal with Lawson to Houston, Jackson to Denver does totally make sense for all three teams. I've always said that the Nuggets have really no reason to trade their league leading assist really good fair priced PG when they can retool with him still on the roster for the next few years. HOWEVER... if they decided to opt for a higher upside younger/cheaper PG instead then it makes a little more sense then to move him and replace with a R. Jackson type. Gives more cap space to go after more young players like a Greg Monroe or T. Harris. I like the deal for the Nuggets if they've done their homework on Jackson and think he can blossom.
If Dragic really wanted to stick it to Houston for basically doing what Phoenix had already done..then maybe he only went back there to stick it to them...
Just a thought - assuming that we can trade for Dragic, is anyone else a bit spooked by how publicly negative he's become? I'm not saying the guy isn't entitled to yearn for a more ideal playing situation, but he's essentially pulled a Pippen on the Suns. What if he were to get here, re-sign with the Rockets but then decide later he doesn't like his role on the team. Regardless of the contract, if he's prone to public outbursts, he could make himself into a negative asset (or at least one worth less than he should be on the market). I liked Dragic when he was here, but I also remember that he wasn't able to lead us to a playoff berth (in fact the team choked a playoff spot away). I'm concerned that even with Harden on the team, he'll wilt again when it comes time to win important games.
Interesting nugget (pun intended) in here is that Den is looking at a guy who wants to be starting PG.
