Finally, I made it to the end of the thread. Feel like I've just did a 10K to catch up after working all day. In sum, either Dragon doesn't want us for whatever reason or he's helping drive the price down so Morey keeps assets (to keep his new team strong). Seems like he would be more pissed at Suns, because of how they kept adding PGs than the Rocks. Rubio is a guy Morey has coveted for a while. With rebuilding Wolves, they could maybe trade Rubio gain some other young/less fragile talent to build around Wiggins. Lawson is in play. Denver is going no where and they need a refresh. Shipping out the malcontents makes sense and is a situation Morey could exploit. Knight is discussed, but this for sure would have to be a 3-team trade to move some of Bucks players that Kidd doesn't want anymore. WILDCARD: Collison if Dragic goes to SAC.
Thing is, people have brains. If he were sticking it to Morey at the expense of a better chance to win a ring when he's 29 years old, then Morey hasn't really lost out because that would make Dragic and his agent the most legendary malakas in NBA history. There is no way him and his agent are that stupid and frivolous with his career.
Jack and Collison have never taken a team and elevated it one whole level-- which is what this team needs. HOU is a mid-seed playoff team, they need to be substantially better to actually contend for the title. The Rockets are not a Jack or Collison (or Mo Williams) away from title contention.
it will be future first round pick (late 1st) come on Morey is better drafting in the 2nd round than 1st anyway
Night guys! Theres a lot of info out, lots to go through. He is very excited about getting paid off the court as well. He is chasing money now and then he will be chasing rings. Can't blame the guy really.
While I get what you're saying in terms of the gap of talent between Jack/Collison and a Goran Dragic, I'd like to believe the Rockets are a healthy Dwight Howard away from contention, as this team is currently constructed right now. Adding a decent player like Jack or Collison wouldn't make us Finals-bound on paper but it definitely adds more depth and talent at a much needed position at what should be a small price to pay.
I don't know. I think we probably are a Jack, backup C and healthier Howard away from winning though. If Howard is back in a few weeks, and it doesn't cost much to get Jack, then maybe we can go for someone who can give us 10-15 better minutes than Dorsey at backup C and be better than our current mid-seed performance.
He won't ever be chasing rings if he ends up on the Lakers, Knicks, or Heat. By the team those trainwrecks turn things around and become relevant again he'll be out of his prime and declining.
Lol course not. I don't because my boy Dragic is looking to UPGRAAAAADE Spoiler Time to throw out the Dynex
