OR Don't get mad at all, because at the end of the day these people are just like most of us -- they gots to get paid. Why should they sacrifice their prime years in talent and life in general in anywhere BUT a place they fully want to be. Maybe Dragic wants to win, but simply doesn't want to spend the next 5 years of his prime living in Houston. Maybe, with his bro in the league, he wants to be in a better atmosphere for young people, ie Miami, New York, or LA. Nothing new about it, young people want to live and work in places that cater to young people...why would Dragic be any different? Remember, they all have egos, not many are willing to openly admit they need two other superstars to win.
Well now this is interesting. The Suns want to get something out of this and their leverage just went to ****. If they still trade him to Houston the Rockets are the only team who can give him the full 5 year max deal he seems to covet. Phoenix would have to back off a demand of DMo and would likely accept Bev and maybe Papi and maybe the NOP pick just to ensure a better package then the list of seven teams can muster. The question would be twofold: 1) Would Morey give Dragic a max extension? 2)Does Dragic hate Houston enough to give up all that money ala Dwight and the Lakers? Except it would be even worse given the state tax benefit.
Who didn't think dragic wanted that money?? some keep talking about, "good luck on a bad team". That doesn't matter. We have gotten luck these past few years with getting people. Don't act like nobody cares about money. I'm just worried him saying "No" to houston Jacks up everybody else's asking price from us. May need to bail out of pg plan.... upgrade bench
Dragic is looking for money and the limelight. Can't get the limelight next to the best player in the Association.
I'm not buying it. No way Dragic keeps following us on Twitter and posting our videos if he doesn't wanna play here. I'm calling BS. Pls Goran PLEASE.
https://soundcloud.com/red-orange-report/red-orange-report-number22 Really good interview of insider Shams Charania by our very own Ben Dubose. Shams goes in depth regarding Dragic's mindset of why he wants to leave and his issue with the Rockets
You know what? I'll take Dragic as a rental! This may be the only year in the Harden-Howard era that we can contend for a title. Harden is the MVP of this season and who knows how long Dwight has or if we are able to keep Smith, Brewer, Terry, etc. Go for it now and consequences be damned! If we lose a 10-14pick out of it then so be it! Rather get a Dragic rental for cheap than over pay for Lawson or Rubio. Knight is the only one that I would "overpay" to get.
