Hopefully flip it at the draft. Im not sure the Rockets are in babysitting stage to wait for a mid 1st round pick to develop.
This year really makes the trade deadline more interesting. Seeing as though there are no games until Thursday it really gives the GM's a ton of time to wait until the last minute, and wheel and deal constantly over the next 48 hours. I think we will see more deals wait until Thursday to become official. GM's have all the time in the world this year. I think that's probably why we saw the bigger names (if you want to call them that) go earlier in the year. These minor deals that come in flurries at the deadline can be made whenever. The only reason to make the deals when they did earlier is because they really wanted the player before they found another buyers. Most of these deadline deals are just going to be alot of cap maneuvering and role player swapping. I think there will be a ton of minor moves that come racing in, but not much that will make you wet your pants.
This year is different becaue there are too many contenders and no straight out favourite AND for once teams with little cap space won't be afraid so much of the lux tax next season.
He is a 30 games rental. I mean sure as a desperation move give assets for a big run for a championship run. ?
I'd love Afflalo on this team, but his 3-point shooting ain't great and he doesn't make a lot of sense longterm. He's got a player option for just under 8 mil next year and something tells me he'll be opting out to get a new contract. Would the Rockets have any interest in giving a lengthy extension to a guy who'll be 30 on opening night next season and plays the same position as the team's best player?
Streaky shooter and can create his own shoot. Has definitely improved since the last time he was here.
