Do you even CBA, bro? The earliest anyone can offer a contract to Dragic is this summer, including the Suns. That's the whole point of the dilemma they're facing.
Ty lawson Storm of the year= Big Splash I don't think we get reggie. He seems to be the type where he thinks he is better than he really is.
What does Morey see in Reggie Jackson? He's a big-game player but streaky as all hell. Anyone watch him enough to break down his game for ignorant posters like myself?
Why are the chances of moving Bledsoe less than Dragic? If anything the contract actually helps make him more enticing IMO. Bledsoe is younger, a better defender, his contract wont be bad in the new CBA if he's healthy, and probably still has upside to go up another level or 2. Reg $: If you take what Bledsoe is making the next 4 years + the remainder of this year and compare is to what Dragic will make on average combining this year and the next 4 (after his pay-day this Summer) I think you'll find that many GM's would actually say that Bledsoe's contract might be the more palatable over time. Basically my point is the same teams that are pursing Dragic, would probably offer the same package, if not a better one, for Bledsoe. Coming out of this meeting with Goran's agent this afternoon, it wouldn't shock me the least if his agent probed to see if that is a real possibility Phoenix would pursue. Get big man talent in return for Bledsoe, put the ball back in Goran's hands at the primary ball handler, and pay the man this Summer. Of course there is Phoenix's side of the coin. I think we know what Goran wants, but I can't for the life of me figure out what Phoenix's plan B is (Plan A this Summer was to use Goran or Bledsoe to get Kevin Love. That's why I. Thomas was signed obviously).
For whatever reason I just don't see Reggie Jackson as an option. I cant even envision the Rockets and Thunder agreeing on something. Neither team wants to make the other better. Just doesn't make sense to even engage in discussions.
The biggest red flag for me re Reggie is that this is his contract year and yet he looks like he is tanking games doesn't give effort and is visibly frustrated on teh court. I mean..this is the year to go all out and get your paycheck!
He was big in Westbrook's absence the last couple years(including against the Rockets in the 2013 playoffs). But this season his game has fallen off. Maybe it's because he's playing for a new contract. Maybe it's because Durant and Westbrook missed a lot of time and he couldn't carry the load in their absence. But either way, his numbers stink. They're no better than Bev's. And Jackson will wanna get paid this offseason and believe me, some stupid, desperate team will give him a fat contract. It would make no sense to go after him.
Pretty sure you two are agreeing, just using different words. I think he's saying the Suns won't want to move Bledsoe.
imo Knight is much better than Reggie. The only better that Reggie can do is PNR. Otherwise outside shooting, effort in defence and character Knight is better. BTW Morrey would be an idiot to try get Reggie. Fisher used to mentor Reggie and is one of their main targets. Reggie along with Kanter are the prime candidates this summer to take on their QO.
NY. But NY would prefer if he took the QO due to the hold on cap - too bad they have minimal assets to try and trade for him. I don't understand how Fisher believes Reggie is a good fit to the triangle.. He will go for 12-13 per imo.
I'd actually maybe prefer Bledsoe to Dragic if he didn't have a history of past injuries. Which I think would be teams biggest red light on Bledsoe. If Suns make Bledsoe available I think Morey would be interested him too. I just can't see the Suns doing it but you put up good points... You never k ow! It could happen.
I think the beginning and then end are pretty clear. I'll promise you the desert= Dragic While I steal your cold from underneath you= _________ The storm of the year= Trade of the year Morey's slight of hand #misdirection= Morey made everyone believe that the main target was something other than what he is telling them, or that he doesn't want to part with a piece in which he actually prefers to trade.
