Slowly jumping on the Lawson > Dragic bandwagon. Lawson's assist/TO ratio is crazy, his contract is good for 2 more years, and he can still shoot it. Both him and Dragics DRPM just as bad though.
Of Codman's post The first part is Dragic The second part is Deron The third part would be Reggie Jackson
Why are we assuming it's one of Dwights brothers? What if it were one of Hardens brothers?! Durant to Houston...
Would you guys have any interest in: Terry, KPap, Shved, Jones, Dorsey, and Johnson for Deron Williams and Mason Plumlee? A 6 for 2 trade sounds ridiculous, especially in the middle of the season, but a third team could be included to take Jones and/or KPap and possibly net us a 2nd rounder or two. I am just speculating by the way, I'd much rather have IT, Dragic, or Lawson, but between Codman's post and the previous reports stating the Rocket's interest in Williams, I don't think it is ridiculous to discuss.
Let the party begin! 17 Feb: Dragon's agent meets w/ Suns. No guarantees made; force Suns hand and gives them some PR fodder. 18 Feb: Morey's hand around Ryan McDonough neck, I mean shoulder, "Ok, Ryan I'm going to do you a solid given our beer drinking day with the Celts. I don't want to do this, but I'm going to give you KPap, this dude is a hustling machine, who shows the savvy of a vet and the unselfishness of a great player. He'll find his shooting range soon and you'll look like you just resurrected Dan Majerle. This piece alone will be worth more than a hald year of Dragic. However, I'm not done yet. Next, I'm going to make you look like a genius by including Alexey Shved in the deal. As you know Shved is a very rare player. He's over 6'6", can handle the rock and pass, finish at the rim and shoot 3-ptrs. Kid has lots of potential and can start in Dragic's spot and play both 2/3. He's also an excellent team player and won't mind when Bled or IT go all Kobe on the court. Finally, for a little cherry on top of this deal, I'm going to give you NY's 2nd round pick. Yep, you heard me right, I'm giving you the kind of pick that I've used to find gems like Parsons and Canaan. You'll look so good with that pick in the draft, sh_t you may even get laid. Now, I know this is an AWESOME return for an aging PG with only half a year left on his contract, but I've been thinking that this might be our last chance at a championship with Dwight's 90-year old knees. While this is a great deal for you, it gives me a chance for a moment before Dwight goes down the the tubes. I need to know ASAP, because Denver is really interested and Lawson is a better long-term situation for us, which Les might pressure me to jump given what Dragic is gonna want for pay next year. So let me know if you're interested. Cheers buddy!
You know just as an aside.....if you told me I could choose between the rockets winning the championship but had to lose all their games to the mavs versus the rockets thrashing the mavs every game they played them but never winning the chip.....Id have to think long and hard about it. I'd end up choosing the former....but I'd have to wrestle for a long time. I hate the mavs that much.
