When did this become the case? Is this a rumor?

Honestly, Get Lawson or IT and don't give up D-Mo. I have a fear that Lakers will pay Dragic, Parsons type of money and he will take it. We will be left w/ nothing.

With Lawson or IT, we can improve our roster w/o worrying about paying Dragic big money next season. C'mon Morey, you know Dragic will leave in off season.

Woj: The Phoenix Suns will meet with Goran Dragic's agent on Tuesday to discuss his future with the organization. Dragic will be UFA this summer. There's some hope around the league among teams who'd like to acquire Dragic that the Suns would make him available in a trade before Thursday's deadline but my sources tell me the Suns are still committed to re-signing Dragic this summer and don't plan to move him this week.

So stupid this Dragic talk is even possible right now. If we had just signed him instead of Lin that summer.

JR where did you see Woj say the Suns dont plan to trade Dragic?

as for codman's post - sounds like its heading that way but the reference of someone who he has abused in the past sounds like its involving Phoenix and for the coach part I am gusesing its Stan Van Gundy but no idea unless the player is JL3

Without knowing we'd get James and Dwight, we'd likely be looking at the same situation... Morey knows what he's doing...

Can you imagine already having Goran and having our pick besides....and Ariza and the Pels pick?

I did pitch a fit when we weren't willing to give Goran that player option. Thought it was a bad decision. In hindsight, we shoulda given him 5/38 guaranteed.

Exactly. Give me Prince from 5 years ago and we can talk. Prince is just too old now.. Hell, Ariza is the Prince from 5 years ago. No reason to get rid of him.

NOP pick, Shved and Jones for Dragic.

Or NOP pick, Shved, Pap and Jones for Dragic and Plumlee.

    Calling it.

IIRC it wasn't that we chose Lin over Dragic. We chose not to resign Dragic because PHX offered him the player option. So we could have likely been in the same scenario as Phoenix right now.

Easy to say that now when we have Harden, Howard, and a championship caliber team. In 2012, we were hoping Lamb and Royce White could be contributors to our team and Dragic was good but not as good as he is now.

    Hindsight is 20/20.

I understand the hesitation to give up Ariza.

But....if we could trade Ariza and someone else for Goran and Zoran and keep DMo and our other pieces along with our picks or at least the Pels pick...it puts us in prime free agent position this summer.

keeping Ariza DMO, and adding Dragic/Lawson could potentially win us a ring this year (if Dwight gets healthy), what do you like better> championship or cap flexibility ?

Don't need Ariza's leadership so much in the locker room when Goran is there with James and Dwight.

By the way, this is not coming from any dislike of Ariza. I do like him. But....I'd rather trade Ariza than trade DMo and/or the Pels pick. I'd trade Ariza before I traded either of those assets.

I think that's what you have Terry for now. I like Ariza, but I think having someone like Brewer on the team now makes him a bit more expendable for the right price of course.
