o You kidding or trolling. LMA would have DMo for lunch. Robin Lopez I am sure could damage Dmo emotionally and physically. Maybe this year he gets better at it but he is lost on the court defensively. TJ is just not physical enough but if he conditions himself heavily this off season and works hard he would be a way better option than DMo.
What? Eric Bledsoe is already a much better player than Chandler Parsons, and he has considerably more upside as well.
That's $10.75 in the first year with 7.5% raises. We can offer $11.5 minus one of TJones/DMo, or $12.5 minus BOTH TJones/DMo. If we trade Canaan and Covington, we could open up another 500k for a $13 million offer (or $56 million over 4 years). Trade Bev? $13.5 million ($58 million). Bledsoe / Ish / Johnson Harden / Daniels Ariza / ? Adrien / Howard / Dorsey You'd still have the room exception, the NOP 1st, all of our euros, plus all the assets you should have acquired trading DMo, TJones, and Canaan.
His trajectory looks extremely similar to Harden's. Last year was his first year playing starters minutes and he shined. I suspect most people extremely opposed to giving him a max deal were also opposed to the Harden max.
DMo has troubling winning rebounds against summer league competition. he still has a ways to go before he is a consistant contributor.
Simply by playing hardball, the Suns are signaling major injury concerns with Bledsoe and are lowering his value in FA. It's smart.
Harden wasn't considered Harden until the first two games as a Rocket. I'd rather take a chance on Bledsoe.
Oh.....and the asset we got for trading Bev. I wouldn't expect us to do this. If a 3rd team looks like they are about to offer a max 4 year deal, I imagine PHX will give us a call and work with us on a SnT. Something like expirings, NOP 1st, and one of TJones/DMo for Bledsoe.
Bledsoe has the upwards trajectory in his game that Parsons just flat out does not have. Bledsoe has star potential, could be a legit 3rd option with elite defense. And doesn't need the ball.
