While "confirmed" is somewhere north of wildly optimistic, I have to admit that it's intriguing. Nice find, dude.
I recently became friends with an extremely credible source who says Houston and Portland are working the back channels in anticipation of a trade. Guys, we may bring Drexler home. Right now, it looks like we will have to give up Thorpe to make it happen though, which might hurt us during the playoffs as it would put too much pressure on Dream and Horry is just not good enough to man the 4. Still, I'm excited about the trade. We will have a bunch of games to reestablish the chemistry between Dream and Drexler and as long as Dream stays healthy, we should always be in good shape. I just hope we won't be relying on Drexler to carry us for an extended stretch because without OT, that could be tough. I can even see the defending champs limping into the playoffs with something like a 6th seed, which would be disastrous for our repeat hopes. Oh well, I still think it is worth the gamble and it would make Dream happier. Let's see what happens. Oh, wait. Wrong February. Sorry.
It's cool, just use your time machine to skip 20 days and tell us what happens please. Or is it one of those forwards-only time machines?
I know, I thought of giving this thread a "bump" up, too. If the Lakers are involved in any rumors, I wonder if or when he'll show up and what he'll reveal. But we're near the home stretch til the trade deadline.
We won't need cyber in the next few days. Our "insiders" haven't given much lately And I'm not given credit to anyone when It's national news. Unless it's an out of the ordinary and comes true.
Nothing happens today. GMs & Owners aren't going to mess with the hype of the ASG. They'll probably use Monday to finalize everything. I don't see anything Rox wise till probably Wednesday when Shved can be traded.
If ever there were an offseason where we did nothing, this might be it. If you asked me before the season started how good we would be if we added Brewer and Josh Smith, and DMo made the leap forward that he has, I would have said that we would be favorites to win it all. The talent is there on this team, just gotta put it together. We are adding a superstar sometime in March, and all our shooters are eventually going to start regressing to the mean.
I dont think Rox would take on Ersan's contract unless an asset like Henson was attached. And maybe Brandon Knight. ;-)
A lot happens today; nada leaks (even with social media???) until Monday when the planes have disembarked with their expensive load of ASG participants.
I will be utterly shocked if the Rockets make no trades by the deadline and I also expect that there will be some leak today. If not about Dragic about another trade talk at least.
I'm not an insider or have any kind of "informed sources" so I personally don't know crap. Last I heard some insiders from the FO said that Ersan is on the block and Houston has made some calls all year. I think it all depends on the Dragic deal if anything happens with the turkish delight.
read that Suns want Jones, DMO and the Pelicans pick for Dragic. Don't know how reliable it is, dude said he heard it from a source that has been reliable in the past, thinks the price will drop come deadline. If true, way too much, rather have Isiah then
We are not so desperate that we would pay that. We'd give up a 2nd for Jameer Nelson before we would do something so rediculous.
